Q: is it normal for this swing to turn on by itself or when on switch modes ? it has been doing this quite often. I will get up in the middle of the night and it'll be swinging and playing music .

The Cassia Swing is more than just a comfy spot to put your baby down to free up your hands. Easy to setup and get going even the grandparents were able to figure out which buttons to hit! Our son loves it and it rocks him right back to sleep when he is fussy and we are in the middle of cooking dinner.

I didn't think I would ever buy one of these, given the cost and the negative reputation of baby swings in general. It went on sale right around when my baby turned 2 months old, when we were getting desperate for anything that could help with the constant crying and needing to be held. It arrived, I assembled it in minutes, and our now-3.5-month-old baby has been enjoying her "swivel chair" daily ever since. It isn't always the solution to her crying, but it's an option to try and sometimes it works amazingly. We live in a small condo, so basically one of us is able to keep an eye on her at all times while using it. It's a convenient spot to keep the baby happy for a few minutes when we first get home or when we're getting ready to head out. The timer function helps us limit her total "container time", and I think the side-to-side motion seems ideal for at least not making her GERD symptoms any worse. We used to have it play music, but lately she seems to enjoy the stream and bird sounds more. In the event of a blowout in the seat, all of the material is removable by a single zipper so it can be tossed in the washing machine and air dried. The swing is better off without the goofy plastic mobile, so we just left that in the box.

My baby hates this swing. We have tried it for 3 weeks now and she cries every time she’s in it. It does not soothe her at all. I think she prefers the classic front to back and not the side sway. It’s too bad because the swing itself is very nice. It’s sturdy, put together well, aesthetically pleasing, but I guess some babies are picky and just don’t like it. Still gave 4 stars because my baby is just picky but it’s a nice swing.

My twins love this swing. They're 6 weeks old and this is the only thing I can put them in without them crying. We love it so much we are ordering another one! It's easy to assemble and light weight. It looks and feels expensive and goes well with our home decor even.

This Maxi-Cosi Cassia Swing has been a lifesaver as a new mom. I got the essential graphite color. First, it's neutral color scheme can be used for any gender, and it goes well in my nursery. It is sturdy and well-built, holding a child up to 20 pounds. I expect that it will last for many years. It has 2 recline positions for baby's comfort, although I prefer the most upright one. The harness/buckle keeps baby secure, and the soft cushion provides ample support for baby's head and neck. The swing has 5 speeds and 12 different soothing songs and nature sounds to keep baby sleepy and relaxed. Something that sets this swing apart from others is that it has a smart sensor that will automatically start softly swinging baby if he/she gets fussy and needs soothing. The Cassia swing does not take up a lot of room and is extremely light weight. The cover does come off and is machine-washable. The swing itself rotates 360°, which makes it easy to see baby if you step into a side room. You can use batteries in it, but it also comes with a wall plug.

I'm still in my third trimester, and although we're getting closer to the date, I haven't put the swing together yet. I have done a ton of research though and this is the best possible baby swing I could find. It does EVERYTHING. When your baby is fussy, the swing will "automatically know when and how to rock your baby." It has 360° rotation for nervous parents and wiggly babies. I cannot wait til my husband opens this and puts it together for me! I can already see it's one of the collapsible kind to save space. This is going to be my third, it never gets easier to not be a "helicopter" parent. They have come a LONG way in baby equipment since my first child!

Our little guy is 3 months old. He's been using a mamaroo since birth and has gotten bored with it. The Cassia offers similar features, but it's a more traditional design. He really seems to be enjoying the motion. I do wish there was app support, but overall, I'm very happy with the simplicity of the swing and the comfort for my son.

This material and overall product works very well. I enjoy that its on a curve but not too steep or not steep enough to make the baby more prone to being uncomfortable. This seems to be the perfect angle and the toys right in front of their face are of perfect positioning as well. The buttons are easy to use and figure out even without an instruction manual and the baby was not discontent for a majority of the time in this chair so the material/products seems to be of high quality as well. The color scheme is very modern in my view too so this makes it even more of a sell.

We are absolutely obsessed with this swing! The modern sleek design fits perfectly in our home. It is super lightweight but also so sturdy I know my baby is safe. The 360 degree rotation is perfect so that I can keep an eye on her and she can see me wherever I am. The best part is the automatic motion detection, when my hands are full and she needs extra soothing the swing will activate. I can't recommend this enough and it is a baby must have for sure!

I absolutely love this swing. Have been using it since baby was 2 weeks old, and I'm super impressed. I love the multi-tilt option which makes it easy for a brand new baby to enjoy at a very minimal incline, so their neck is still supported well. The swing also allow provides a soothing music option and a range of speed for swinging. It is light weight for ease when moving from room to room, and also can be run by battery or via electrical outlet. It is aesthetically pleasing and comfortable and I look forward to seeing how much baby enjoys as they get older.

Sometimes expensive isn't better. I wouldn't recommend this swing, apparently many people have this problem. It swings to one side, then slams on the other, startling baby and potential waking them. My husband and I have taken apart and re-assembled the swing twice and can't get the problem to stop. Don't plan on keeping the swing much longer.

My baby loves this swing so much as do I! I'm very into home decor and it's hard to find baby products that aren't "overboard." This swing is super sleek, easy to put together, fits our aesthetic perfectly! It's very soothing to our baby and calms her down well,I love the sitting up/recline options. I got this swing brand new for my baby shower, around her being 4 weeks and 8lbs I started having problems with it not swinging with her in it. Now at 9 weeks old the thing won't even turn on. Tried a new plug and batteries. Highly disappointed, up until the issues my daughter LOVED this thing.

My absolute favorite thing about this swing (aside from the easy assembly) is that you can use it with a power cord OR with batteries!!!!!! The portability of this swing is literally amazing. I don't have to worry about where to plug it in because I can just put it anywhere and have the baby swinging peacefully. The design of this swing is also very appealing and elegant. It feels and looks like good quality. You can also have the baby (when they're a little older) seated more at an upright angle or laying downwards since the swing has a recliner feature. The swing does only swing side to side, would love if it was able to swing multiple directions and not just side to side but hey, my baby still love this swing so can't complain. The price point is also not bad for the quality and portability of this swing. Overall recommend it
