    The GOAT (but not for beginners/amateurs)

    This mascara is the best on the market. Maybelline discontinued one decades ago and this is the best replacement I can find. I have tried every brand and every style wand possible and nothing beats this (not even the luxury brands). You get maximum lengthening and full coverage. Removal is quick and easy with a simple eye makeup remover. HOWEVER…This mascara is not for beginners or casual users. You need to be confident with the wand and the coverage it gives; and comfortable with manipulating it quickly before it drys to ensure there’s no clumping. If you’re getting clumps, you need to practice your application more. It’s super simple and easy to use once you’ve got it down, and especially if you’ve used this style of mascara and wand before. But, it’s harder to get right if you haven’t, which is where I’m guessing the negative reviews are coming from. I beg Maybelline not to listen to the haters, this really is the GOAT.

    Not good

    This is really just a bad mascara. It’s super heavy and wet, the applicator holds too much product, it clumps your lashes together, and never dries fully.

    Wayyy too much product on thr brush.

    I wanted to start using more budget friendly mascara after years of only luxury brands. I thought by the brush would like this but it’s soooo much product. I cannot scrape off he insane amount of product into the tube because the brush bends. I ended up wiping the whole thing g clean with a towel (ruining the towel and wasting product) just to try to brush through my lashes. They are still clumpy and messy. I’m not going to give it another shot wiping it completely off first but sadly I may just throw this away. I’d rather spend triple and not mess up my makeup.

    Seniors like using mascara to even with arthritis

    The mascara is nice for the price. However the shape makes it very difficult to hold while applying. It slips through my finger tips. It would be great if all the manufacturers would place a flat area to hold the brush.

    This mascara is for people that like a full lash look, if you want length, not for you. I really enjoy this mascara, it gives a very voluminous affect without having to add a lot like other mascaras I've tried. To avoid clumps, wait a couple of minutes between layers.

    Totally Hooked/ Totally Disappointed

    I love this Mascara! I’ve used it since it first arrived in stores. I have thin lashes but this Mascara feathers them perfectly! My eyes are bold and beautiful! Sadly, I was quite disappointed in my most recent purchase. The mascara was dry and paste like. I hope this won’t become a habit. I don’t want to change what I use and trust.

    Horrible, no matter how you use it, you will get spider lashes. It is lengthening, yes, but other than that, the brush holds way too much product and it doesn’t separate the lashes nicely. It’s gross. I’d return it if I could.

    Worst Maybelline mascara, buy a different one

    This version is horrendous. The brush doesn't make sense, way too much mascara comes onto the brush when you pull it out, and all it did was clump my eyelashes together with the wet product. I had to take an old brush i had from Rocket Volum to even it out. I will never buy this one again. I have been using Maybelline mascara for as long as I can remember. It's always been my favorite. But this specific one, I will never buy again.

    literally will never come off your eyes

    Bad wand design

    Horrible wand design, the wand is full of mascara goop that just coats my lashes in gross clumpy gunk, no separating or extension of my lashes occurred. The reservoirs in the wand are too deep and there’s very few combs for the lashes on the wand. I ended up having to wash a wand from an old tube of a different mascara so I could still get my moneys worth from the product.
