Upon opening it, the brush had clumps of mascara all over it. Immediately no. It dries way too fast, which equals way too many clumps. I always curl my lashes before applying mascara and after. The curler took the mascara off the base of my lashes. So then I had to apply more and it was just a heavy, thick look. Tons of mascara poop as well. Nope!! I’m returning.

I want to preface by saying it’s not really a bad mascara! I like the original Falsies mascara and when I saw this one, I decided to try it and see if it gave a more dramatic look. It’s not super noticeable, but it does a little bit! The biggest thing that really turned me off about this mascara is that it is super difficult to remove. I used the same micellar water on a cotton round method I always use, and all it did was smear it around my eyes and face. So beware of that if you buy this. All in all, I don’t think it’s necessarily bad but it’s also not necessarily better than the original.

This mascara works better than $20-$30 one I’ve purchased in the past. Hands downs the best quality for the price. I hope it is never discontinued, my lashes are so long and stay long and curled after applying it. Did a 16 hour shift thru the night and no smudges or limp eye lashes. This is truly my go to for all occasions.

My only complaint is after a long time of wear, it does flake a little, leaving a little black powder under my eyes and on my checks. That being said, I do wear it heavy. I suppose if you only used one coat, it probably wouldn't do that.

I've used Maybelline for decades and for some reason VOLUM' EXPRESS® THE FALSIES FLARED® WASHABLE MASCARA VERY BLACK, was a total and frustrating disappointment. I've never had a mascara dry up & clump only after 30 days of purchase. Never again....
