Be the eye doctor or the patient and “see” how fun it is to wear glasses! The Melissa & Doug Fun Frames Eye Exam Play Set is a great way to help kids feel more comfortable getting an eye exam. Use the pretend eye drops bottle and the eye cover to check vision. Hold up the wooden exam tool and rotate the color wheel to view an illustrated eye chart and reveal hidden pictures on two double-sided exam cards. Try on three colorful eyeglass frames in fun shapes (sized to fit most kids three to six years old) and check the different looks in the folding mirror! All items store in a shopping tote for easy cleanup and portability.

Such fun glasses!
We love this play, optometrist set! The glasses are so fun and very sturdy. Our toddler plays with them all the time and even gets our cat to wear a pair. She plays with the other items in the set too and it is really adorable. I highly recommend!

Boxes show up damaged
I've purchased 2 so far and both came with damaged boxes. The first has a giant sticker over it that cannot be removed. The second arrived with a torn and damaged box. This is a gift and I want it to look nice and presentable. Additionally we save these boxes and use them to store the toy. This is very disappointing. Now I need to go into the store and try to find a nice looking one myself.

Educational and fun!

It is a brand that I trust and it honestly helps with my students with developmental delays. My students love playing with these kind of toys. It’s great for social emotional activities that we do in group centers. This set of fun frames eye exam is so adorable. It comes in a travel bag that is perfect for easy clean up. It comes with the cutest eye exam kit and three glasses that the patient can choose to wear. It is a great toy set!

Cute set for play acting
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Melissa and Doug wins for quality yet again. This is a small and super cute set for any kid that likes to pretend to have different professions. My kids have never been to an eye doctor so this was educational for them although because they didn’t have experience with an optometrist beforehand, they weren’t excited for it. They enjoyed play acting with it and loved switching the color wheel to make the pictures on the cards appear.

Perfect for pretend play!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Melissa and Doug Optometrist Play Set is adorable! My kiddo loves to play dress up and pretend play so this is right up his alley. He was obsessed with changing the lenses and asking “number one or number two?” 😂 He also had a blast with the eye drops. The items all feel well made and durable and the little tote bag makes it convenient to keep everything together. Super cute set, highly recommend for kids that love dress up.

Sturdy and fun for kids

The pictures for the "eye exam" are toddler appropriate adding an educational value to prepare them for their first eye exam. Overall the toys are great for preschool age children.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Melissa and Doug optometrist play set is super cute, and a great addition to dress up boxes or playing hospital/ doctor/ nurse/ etc. It's definitely for littles, but it is a good mix of ed educational and fun. The eye chart and phoropter are my favorite parts. Get ready for a bunch of fun appointments!
