The animals are cute, but these are paper/cardboard on top. They aren't wood, and are not durable.

The kids don't like it
The kids don't like it. They won't play with it. There are two big problems. One is that the individual magnets are so thin and non-bending that the kids can't grab onto them to move them around. The other is that the pictures are too old-fashioned. They look like images taken from a hundred year old book. The images are not very appealing.

Stickers are peeling off wood.
I really wanted to like these magnets - especially given all the 5 star reviews. And we are in the middle of a pandemic, so I'm always looking for entertainment for my 16 month old. However, upon opening, at least 4 of these magnets have the sticker peeling off of the wood. We've tried using an Elmer's glue stick to paste the paper back on with minimal success. I expect more from the Melissa & Doug brand

My 3 and 5 year old nephews sort the animals by size, count the animals, and say the first letter of the animal's name (the 5 year old). Example: Cow begins with C. The 3 year old identifies the animals.
