Mesh Solar and Rechargeable USB LED Outdoor Lantern - Room Essentials™

I charged this and can’t get it to work.

Love the lantern. But no usb cords were attached to any of these lanterns in store. Not sure where they were supposed to be attached.

This light is AMAZING and bright enough to read/write with the light output. There are a few things you should consider, though. Firstly, these lights are great if you intend to use them as a regular lamp (where you turn it on/off as needed). There is a function where it will turn on automatically when it's dark (similar to yard lights), but this is not an ideal way to use this lantern. The solar panel is not strong enough, and the battery requires multiple days to fully charge by solar. Consider solar charging as a trickle charger for topping up the battery. On a full charge (by plugging into an outlet), I get over 10 hours of continuous light. As previously mentioned, unless you intend to plug it in daily, it's best to turn it off when you're done. We use this light on our outdoor dining table and turn it off when we're done. With the solar panel topping up the battery daily, we haven't had to charge it by plugging it in. It is weather resistant, so there's no issue with it staying outside. Yes, they could have attached a bigger/more efficient solar panel, but you'd be paying more for it. BTW, the lantern is attractive and bright enough to be used as a bedside light (or emergency light) when winter comes. The plug-in charging capability makes that possible. Overall, I recommend this lantern.

Took these camping and left out in full sun literally the entire time the sun was out, 12+ hours. Did not turn on at all that night. Will be returning.

It's not very attractive; could not figure out button until I went online and someone asked about it.....they're also not that at.tractive; however, the light is bright but only stays on for a couple of hours. Why would a charger come with it. Isn't the whole purpose of solar lighting is to let the Sun charge jt???

it's light and nice looking but provides no light whatsoever so it unfortunately was not useful for its purpose

I was actually surprised how bright this solar lantern is! Perfect on a table out on deck. I like that it can be charged by plugging in or solar power. Good sale price, I'm definitely going to buy another one this week!

Solar charging does not work. Left this in the sun for days, and not a single charge from it. Mine must be defective, but I wouldn’t repurchase

Good quality and great size for outdoors

Purchased four of these (white and yellow). They are very pretty and give off a nice ambient light that is actually quite bright. The yellow lantern gives the light more amber color than the white lantern, which gives off more of a cool white. The only downfall is the charging does not last very long. I have only gotten two, maybe three, nights max after full charge with the port. This is pretty disappointing to have to charge every few days. It does not seem the solar charging does very well. Maybe it’s been too cloudy, but we have had sunny days as well. May reassess once it is full Texas summer sun.

Puts out a great amount of light and I love that it can charge by solar or by power cable

This lantern is incredible. I put it outside to soak up the sun and forgot about it. Despite moisture and cold temperatures, it is still working well. You can also charge it via a wall charger. It is powerful enough to use for soft light night reading, but is more like a stronger night light. It emits a beautiful glow. If it does not turn on after solar charging, just plug it into the wall, and it will “wake up”. It does have a standby mode as well, which is triggered by movement. After charging, you get tons of power for seemingly forever. All that at a great price.

I kinda bought this on impulse, not because I needed it but because I just LOVED the way it looked. It has a charger you can use by plugging into the wall, as well as a solar panel on top. There are two settings—on/off, and on-when-dark-detected/off. The button is a touch button, nothing actually presses down. While it’s very lightweight and probably all plastic inside, the outer layer is metal. It gives off an impressive amount of light for something so small and battery-powered! It comes in so many great colors, but I decided on the green. It’s really beautiful!
