Metabo HPT KC18DDX4SM 18V MultiVolt Brushless Lithium-Ion Cordless 4-Tool Sub-Compact Combo Kit with 2 Batteries (2 Ah)

I bought mine in January, after being gifted a metabo impact by my boss in November. I since have purchased the rear handled circular saw, drill, 18 gauge cordless nailer and the oscillating tool. All of them have been amazing on the job site. I work in residential construction, and all of these tools have proven to Be as good or better than other brands that are around the job site. The multi tool has really impressed me with its consistent power, and reliability. One of my favorite features is how quick and easy it is to change the blade. Also light weight with great hand feel! Love the tool!

I have used this on wood for plunge cuts, flush cuts, and surface clean up and found it very useful. It's light enough and the vibration is quite manageable so I was able to get good control while cutting quite quickly.

Great compact too kit. Includes, impact drill, regular drill, multi tool, reciprocating saw, two batteries and on great tool bag. Great for small enclosures and very lightweight and easy to use. 5 plus stars.

This is a very powerful little tool. It's so small and lightweight but drives screws beautifully. Because of its small size, I was able to use it even in relatively tight spaces.

Gets the job done. Not very powerful and the way you change blades is unnecessarily complicated but it works and was cheap

I recently picked up the Metabo HPT CR18DAQ4 18V Cordless One-Handed Reciprocating Saw for some light plumbing work, and I’m really impressed with its performance. The saw is incredibly compact and lightweight, weighing only 2.9 lbs and measuring 13.8 inches in length, making it super easy to maneuver. I used it to remove old galvanized pipe, and the one-handed operation was a game-changer, especially when working in tight spaces. The ergonomic design and balanced grip helped reduce hand fatigue during use, making it comfortable to work with for extended periods. The saw’s versatility is a huge plus. It accepts both reciprocating saw blades and T-shank jigsaw blades, giving me the flexibility to tackle different types of cuts. The built-in LED light above the blade also came in handy when working in dimly lit areas, such as behind cabinets or under sinks. That said, it does have some limitations. The 1-inch stroke length means it’s not suited for heavier tasks, like cutting through thick metal pipes or large tree branches. For lighter, more straightforward jobs like mine, it’s fantastic, but if you’re looking for a saw to tackle more demanding cuts, this might not be the best option. The battery port design is another small issue—it can be tricky to get the saw to stand upright unless you’re using a larger battery due to the plastic battery guard extending past the battery. It’s not a deal-breaker, but it’s something to keep in mind. Overall, while this saw might not be ideal for heavy-duty contractors, it’s perfect for homeowners and those tackling lighter projects, like home repairs or basic plumbing tasks. The compatibility with both 18V and 36V Metabo batteries is a bonus, especially if you already have other Metabo tools. For light plumbing or general home use, this saw is a reliable, comfortable, and easy-to-use tool that gets the job done.

I bought this to add to my Metabo HPT collection. I already have the drill/driver. It's light weight and can be used one handed. It has plenty of power for screws and bolts. It is a great deal with the impact driver, 2 batteries, charger and case. I would recommend this for your tool collection.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I like this tool, it cuts relatively slowly because the stroke is short, butb that makes it smoother than most other recip saws I've used. I like the adjustable shoe, it works well. The trigger in my saw has some issues, the saw sometimes cuts in and out and it does not some to get better after exercising the trigger

I use this to cut through any hard to reach spot. The multi angle options give excellent angles to apply cutting force. I use this on all projects whether it's wood, vinyl, or even cutting through nails. I know the blade matters the most for materials but the speed options are very important to allow for lower speed cutting when friction heat would usually melt vinyl.

Purchased this in 2022 as a cheap sub compact impact driver to use for work. This sub compact has been more reliable than any other drill or impact I own.

So far this light weight saw is working perfect for my small jobs. Installing the blades are very easy, no chuck key to loose.

Why wasnt this tool created years ago. Sure there are other saws that cut big peices of wood, but this saw is like doing surgery in small spots.

I was told about Metabo HPT tools from a friend who is a carpenter. I purchased a drill/driver in the past. It was a easy decision to purchase the impact driver. It's light weight, comes with 2 batteries, charger and case. It works excellent, the battery life is amazing, easy to use over head. I have used to build shelves and it works like a charm. This is highly recommend tool.

This tool is too slow in sawing than the big one. The stroke length is too small. It only 12mm. It makes cutting so slow. The other brand have about 7/8” or 22mm for 18v. They are better. And my saw sometimes lack. The better of this tool is it has jig saw blade feature.
