Midea 10000 BTU DOE/ 12000 BTU ASHRAE Smart Inverter DUO Portable Air Conditioner for Spaces up to 450 sq ft 

After two years, it works very well, the app works well most of the time, but I'm now discovering the boggling process required to clean the internal fan of stuck-on dust and lint - the clever engineers forgot that job.

The unit cools and heats but nowhere in the specs or manual does it say whether it heats in a heat pump mode or uses electrical heating elements which is inefficient use of energy.

This unit is very quiet and very efficient. My development does not permit window unit A/Cs, but this unit has made them unnecessary.

It was pretty easy to install in our window. The AC unit isn't as loud as most units are which is always great. It has a cool remote that comes with the batteries and you can also use it from an app on your phone. It came missing the piece that hooks to the drain hose though.

It takes a couple of minutes for the cool air to kick on but once it does, it is cold! I’m very impressed by how quiet it is. I like the smart features and how energy efficient the AC is. I like the dual hose design—it seems more efficient than other models I’ve used. Setup was straightforward, and the remote/app controls are a nice bonus. The only downside is that it's a bit bulky and the exhaust hose can be awkward to position. Overall, a solid choice for beating the heat!

Would not recommend. This portable air conditioner does in fact cool your room, slowly, but does not dehumidify. After running this unit for 10 hrs, very little water exited the drain. While running this unit, our humidity increased significantly, making the room uncomfortable. I switch it out with a 8000 BTU portable AC from a big box store and it is far superior in terms of cooling and dehumidifying. Midea product is a fail.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] So good so far! The noise level is isn’t crazy loud, it’s what I’d expect from a bigger model. It’s not deafening to sit in the same room trying to watch TV or anything. I love the app feature and that it works with Alexa. We are an Alexa household so to me that was super cool that we could link them up and that there is an option to turn the unit on remote so the room is chilled before we get home. Easy to figure out and I haven’t noticed any mold problems yet!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] When I opened the box, I noticed the box was like a lid that goes over the ac. The ac was very heavy, and I found it hard to get a hold of because it was lying on its side. Once, I stood it up and found the handles on each side and discovered how easy it rolled across my floor. The ac included the installation kit, which was very easy to clip together the air fitting for the window. The fitting requires 1 screw which I could not find. Once you have the hose setup, you can use the window plates to fit your window and apply the foam. The hose will snap right to the frame. I was shocked how strong the air blew from it. It takes a few minutes for it to cool, but once it does, it will make a room very comfortable. The ac also has buttons on top and an lcd panel. There is a remote too that lights up and displayed the temperature that you want it to be. This is perfect for moving to different areas because of the wheels. It does gave a drain hose that you can use to drain when it's needed or a lower drain to keep a constant drain going. This ac was fantastic and impressed me with the features and the auto moving air vent.

We put this in the garage to keep it cool as we hang out there a lot and it’s so hot during the summer. It is not loud at all, it sounds like the motor of a fan in my opinion. My husband could not stop staring at it and was so amazed and excited.
