Milliard Full Size Memory Foam Futon Mattress

Purchased this futon mattress to use on a futon. It is not fit for purpose. The mattress is ostensibly made from memory foam, one of my favorite substances on the planet, responsible for rescuing my sanity and my spine from damage from a decade working in a lumberyard and driving a V8 1960's muscle car with no suspension to speak of and spending my weekends camping in bizarre spots. As usual, I gave this mattress about six hours to decompress from its vacuum sealed storage state. It expanded to a maximum thickness of 4.5", which is about a third shy of the advertised 7". Let it sit a bit longer and that's about where it stopped. More bizarrely, the mattress is single-sided. For a futon mattress, especially a memory foam one, not to be reversible to rotate, is a bizarre design choice. Okay, fine. Memory foam is great with density. I could all but feel the grain of the wood slats on the futon frame on my buttocks through the immediately collapsed foam. I shudder to think what bizarre shape my spine would be in if I tried to sleep on this hateful thing. I have thrown away pieces of packaging foam with more support than this mattress, so it doesn't even make sense to save it as scrap for packaging or use in upholstery projects. Now. Understand that I know that this is a thin and cheap futon mattress meant to go on a futon frame in a studio lounge for the purpose of seating friends while playing music together or becoming a guest bedroom in a pinch. It doesn't have to be the nicest thing in the world to sleep on. But it *does* have to be better than sleeping directly on the floor. I'm going to be attempting to wrangle it down two flights of stairs and into my poor little Toyota to try to return it to the poor Target employees and be unable to look them in the eye because they are great people and do not deserve to be saddled with this mess. But it's not like I in any way can put a mattress back in a box to mail it back to the distributor. What. A. Disappointment.

This mattress is comfortable and good quality. It has enough grip on the bottom to not slide around when in couch mode. The shipping was very fast as well, it is a great addition to my camper van!

Perfect and very comfortable . I was scared at first that you will feel the steel of the frame but no. My husband said very good in doing your research in buying.

Love love love comfy as bed and couch . 6.2 inches and firm like a real mattress. Memory foam when pushed on. Doesn’t feel like you have bars in back from metal frame.

This is a replacement for a thick cotton mattress which I couldn’t move when changing the futon from bed to couch. It’s very comfortable and much lighter!

When I originally slept on the mattress for the first time the futon was in it's upright position not laying flat. I woke up the next morning with back pains... But after pulling the futon out (mattress laying flat) it was perfect (no aches no pains). Had to come back and update my review from ⭐⭐⭐ to ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐. So basically I didn't realize my back pains was from the dip in the futon frame being in it's upright couch position that didn't support my back and had nothing to do with the mattress.

It arrived at my home sooner than expected (ordered on a Thurs. came on that Sat.). I opened it up that night and allowed it to sit for 48hrs. like instructed. I was very excited it's a a really nice mattress. Very well made the mattress cover is awesome... I decided to test it out for about a week and then leave my review. Slept on it the first night and woke up with back pains that I haven't had in over 2yrs. I said oh no I know this pain all too well. Although this maybe a great mattress for someone else (I understand everything isn't for everyone), unfortunately it's not for me 😔. Not trying to discourage anyone from purchasing it because it's an excellent product it's just not for me.

I decided to get this memory foam mattress because it had good reviews and was affordable. I would have preferred a Queen, but they only had Full. I have used it for a couple weeks and at first thought it was way too firm, but have since been enjoying the firmness. I have a mattress topper on top of it, which maybe contributes to how long it takes to sink into the memory foam when you first lay down. So far I think it is worth the price, and there have been no issues.

I'm a senior and wanted to replace my old futon matress with something lightweight as it was always a big struggle to flip the old one. I had no problem putting it in place. BONUS: sooo comfortable! Both my pet and I use this as our new napping place and I intend to replace my bedroom mattress with a Milliard soon. Thank you for a wonderful product at a reasonable price, so hard to find these days.

It's in the guest room, no one has slept on it but it's comfy to sit on

This mattress is inexpensive and very lightweight at only 30 lbs. It's unusual for a futon mattress in that it's all foam (polyurethane and memory foam), with no batting. The two inches of memory foam is considerably more than many futon mattresses which call themselves memory foam, but really have maybe an inch of it buried under inches of batting. It doesn't feel as soft as my old innerspring mattress when first sitting or lying down on it -- it's surprisingly firm, but softens up with body heat -- and once you get settled in it's quite comfy, and I expect it will hold up better under years of daily use than my innerspring mattress did.
