Cute little star for a mini tree (mine is the 3 foot Wondershop one, also from Target). It’s not very bright and it’s warm white, which doesn’t match the lights on the tree also sold by Target, but I’m okay with it. If you’re picky, just a heads up. The glitter does shed, but I suppose that’s to be expected with glitter. Worth the $5 in my opinion.

Only Lights Up Red
Very cute star. I bought this to go on top of a 3ft tree. Unfortunately, the colors stopped working after about a week, and it would only light up red. It keeps fading in and out like it’s transitioning to the next color, but then just lights up red again. I even changed the batteries, but same thing. Since I bought this for 50% off, I’ll probably keep using it for this year and buy something better next year.

This is not even worthy of the dollar store. Tiny glitter falls off. The star is made of cheap plastic. The metal that holds the batteries in place are loose inside. Once turned on, I was so unimpressed. The lights don't fill up the star and are very dim in the dark. Please do not waste your time and money.

Lights too dim
With lights on and the room pitch black you BARELY see any light coming through the heavy glitter on the star. With any lights on or other lights on the tree it might as well not be lit.

Glitter and no light
The glitter is on the outside and is not well sealed, so I immediatley got glitter on my hands when removing it from the box. There are no instructions in the box, but it calls for 2 AAA batteries and there's a toggle switch to turn it on - unfortunately mine didn't work, which I suppose is unsurprising with the low price, so I will have to return it.

Not safe at all
Got both my kids one for the mini tree in their rooms. After about 1 minute of putting batteries in one of them, the battery compartment got really hot and the light flickered out. The smell from the battery was like burning plastic and the battery started to bubble. They are brand new batteries. Not sure if there was glitter inside the battery area that caused it or a faulty item, but definitely returning these so my kids trees don’t catch on fire.
