Monoprice S/PDIF (Toslink) Digital Optical Audio Keystone Jack, Female to Female Coupler, White

Item as advertised . Its slightly bigger in the slot ,so some modification is needed if there is another plug next to it.

I have to be 100% honest with you. I was extremely disappointed with all the Keystones and holders from MONO Price. I purchased some keystones and holders from another vendor and everything clicked in and fit extremely well. All your keystones needed modifications to fit snugly into their holders and click in with the exception of the F connectors, RCA connectors and Blank Keystones. Try this and see if i am wrong: Take a 6 modular slot keystone plate like I ordered, Try and put a SPDIF in the top left, Then try to snap in a ethernet through plug under it, now try and insert The BNC, another SPDIF, Or Ethernet through put under or beside it. They will not snap in properly. Poor engineering and improper tolerances.

These worked fine for me when running cables through the wall for a new TV installation. The only catch is that they're a little wide. For most keystone faceplates, they're fine, but if you are using the 6-jacks in one Decora style of keystone plate, then there isn't enough room between the two jacks for these. I was using this with a different jack next to it, and I had to sand off the edge of the other jack to make it fit. I was lucky that the jack I wanted to put next to it could easily be sanded down without impact; I wouldn't have been able to put two of these side-by-side. This is a problem with a number of keystone jacks, but I don't know if the plate or the jack is out of spec.

Looks okay, but won't know how well it works until the cables are connected to the coupling and the equipment.

The only thing I don't like is there is a red dot that shows through when the line is not plugged.

I installed one of these and it works well, but it does not fit great in an 8-hole, 2-gang wall plate. It is too wide to fit a coax or blank insert alongside. My install location is hidden, so it's not a big deal, but this could be a problem in other applications. It should be fine in a 1-hole or 2-hole plate, where it is not bunched in tight next to another insert.

Does not fit into the Monoprice 24 port keystone patch panel.

One word - terrible. The connectors fell apart after connecting and reconnecting a few times. I ended up buying a different brand and had success. Originally I bought 29 of these keystones. Early on in using these, the connectors separated at the barrel section inside the coupler. DO NOT buy!

I would give this 5 stars but there was only one flaw. You could not put any other keystone next to it. But for what I needed it for (I needed one space open for a wire that does not have a keystone) so for me it worked out perfectly.

The cable snaps in and sits firmly in the jack on both sides. Very reliable and works as expected! Just what I wanted for my AV in wall set up. Uses Monoprice STANDARD Toslink cable.

A bit slow to arrive via USPS. s/pdif keystones fit fine and worked perfectly for me.
