Monoprice Smart Outdoor Plug, IP65 Weather Resistance, 2 Individually Controlled Outlets, No Hub Required, Compatible with Alexa and Google Home

When I received the Stitch 2 outlet smart plug it is very well made and should last a while. The instructions that came with the plug said to download the Stitch app which I did from the Apple app store and installed it on my iPhone. When I first ran the app it established a bluetooth connection with the plug and attempted to auto connect the plug to my home wifi. It was unsuccessful. So per the app I attempted to connect manually. This worked and successfully connected to my wifi. I was using the plug to power some Christmas decorations and it was easy to program on and off times for both circuits. Once connected it worked perfectly. I would recommend this smart plug to anyone requiring a controller for timed circuits at a price that should fit anyone's budget.

Exactly as advertised? I have outdoor lights on one and and a fan on the second outlet? it's always been a hassle to turn off the fan when it wasn't needed? this solves the problem.

This product is listed as being waterproof, but it's only rated IP65 which is water resistant, not water proof.

Replaces my 5-year-old Stitch outdoor switch that failed. The new one is more compact and much easier to pair to my WiFi network. Thumbs up!

The outlets work fine but I was dismayed that they can only be controlled trough the phone app. Makes it considerably less useful for me.

I purchased the Stitch Outdoor 2-outlet plug to replace the Stitch Power Strip, Item #34082 which I use to control my couch end table lights and bed night table lights on either side. I have had 2 power strips fail after about 2 years and I see that they are no longer sold by Monoprice. Even though this outdoor smart plug has only 2 outlets, it serves my purpose -- I just wonder how long it will last, given the failures of the Power Strips that had 4 outlets. I have given it 4 stars because although it now works well, Stitch products overall are not as reliable as I would like. Here's hoping for its continued service.

Use it for outdoor lighting - great device connected easily and within 3 minutes I was up and running and I will purchase more of these - thanks monoprice!

A bit tricky to connect to WiFi, but once figured out, it works great.

Thought this would be a great suggestion for ultimately being able to control plug with a routine in Alexa. However, there is no Stitch or Monoprice app available in either Google Play or Microsoft app store. It only shows up in the Apple app store and does not give any option to install on an Android phone. What gives

Attached my outdoor Christmas lights to both recepticals on this plug and plugged it into an outdoor duplex controlled by an indoor wall switch. Downloaded the app to my iPhone and set up the timer for daily on/off operation. I tested it with the app's power on/off toggle and it worked! The lights came on on command. However, they have not come on the following 2 nights as scheduled in the app. Nor will they come on when commanded in the app. When trying to troubleshoot the problem I keep running into an issue where checking the Device Network the message is "Poor Network Connection." My router is just one wall away from where the plug is installed. My Ring doorbell is in the same location and it has strong network presence as does my iPhone when I use it out there. I will remove everything and start over again to see if this cures the problem. Just wish it had worked first time out of the box.

Followed all instructions multiple times. I'm positive I have a 2.4ghz network available and the app sees the device but will NOT connect it to my network. The app doesn't work on my wife's newer phone/android version.

I like the idea but haven't been able to make them work. When I have more time I might try again but after 15 minutes of trying and getting no results I reached the end of the attempt. It's a great concept and just what I wanted but I just can't get it to work yet!

I wish the system requirements were published before I bought this. It was a gift for my wife who has an android phone. To use the outlet you need an older version of the Android Operating System. So she cannot control the outlet with her phone which has a newer version and is not backward compatible.

I bought this to work in a restaurant to let the waitstaff know that food is ready from the cooks with a walkie talkie.. Installed the app on our iPad and connected a lamp to the switch and works great.. about 150 feet away and downstairs from devices

When I tried to download the app on my Samsung S9 I received a message that the app didn't support this phone.

Plugged into an outlet and in no time it was connecting to my network (I already had the stitch app for other products) and was accessible. My guess in under 3 minutes. Brought outside to use and their working flawlessly.
