Mr. Beer’s American Lager Homebrewing Starter Kit allows craft beer enthusiasts to brew high-quality beer with less time, equipment and expense than other homebrewing methods. Our patented brewing system includes a compact, lightweight fermenter that is modeled after the design of professional brewing equipment. We also include a can of brewing extract - a concentrated form of all natural malted barley and hops - produced in a state-of-the-art facility by Australia’s oldest family owned brewery, as well as No-Rinse Cleanser and unique Carbonation Drops to simplify the sanitization and carbonation process. Kit includes our American Lager refill - a rich golden color beer with medium body and full malt flavor balanced with a very mild bitterness. American Lager represents the most popular beer style in the U.S., and lager lovers will appreciate this beer’s subtle finishing hop aroma.

A: It doesn't look like it. I think the kit with the bottles is not sold by Target. It's also more expensive for the one with bottles included.

A great beer if you want something on the more sweeter side and no bitterness (low IBU). Too sweet for me. I have done this 3 different times now and the original gravety has always been lower than their estimated gravity. Produces beer between 4%-4.6%.

Brewing process was easy however brewing barrel had a leak in the bottom seam which required moving the brew to another vessel.

I have brewed about 10 batches using your kits but this time nothing turned out worth drinking. This was the first time trying the pills that are provided. Maybe they were the cause of failure. I'll go back to using sugar.

The beer making kit is simple to use and produces dcent beer. Follow instructions carefully and wait longer better flavor. Consider buying accessory kit. Good hobbyists as a starter kit. Available on online retailers like Amzon. Great value for money.

I finally took the plunge and bought this kit. Yesterday was brew day! I was pleased with how easy the process of sanitizing and brewing the beer. The krausen has started to form and I can't wait for bottling day! Of course, I need to wait to see it through but as of now I am impressed.

Received 2 gal complete kit for a gift. Absolutely EVERYTHING is included except a can opener. I'm a worrier, but I just let the kit and instructions ride. No fussing. What I got was - really, really delicious. If you're impatient, it's a tad hoppy (I think that is the term) but the more it sits, the better is seems to be. I'm finishing my last bottle. It didn't last long. I'm here to purchase a refill.
