Munchkin White Hot® Safety Bath Ducky - image 1 of 7

About this item

  • White Hot® Safety Disc reveals the word HOT in white when bath water is too hot for baby (104 degrees Fahrenheit and above)
  • Fun, easy-to-grasp size and shape
  • Water-tight to prevent sinking, squirting, and mildew
  • Floats and makes a great bath toy
  • Ages 0+ months
Babies (especially newborns) have extremely sensitive skin, and it can be difficult to get their bath temperature just right, because what feels comfortable to us may not always be comfortable for them. You can prevent unnecessary bathtime discomfort with Munchkin's White Hot® Ducky, a new take on the classic rubber duck. This hard-working bath toy has innovative White Hot® technology that warns you when bath water is not suitable for baby's delicate skin. Simply place the duck in the tub, then lift up to check the blue disc on the bottom. If it says HOT, add cool water or let the bath cool down before placing baby inside. Aside from being a bath safety must, this cute yellow duck is also water-tight, mildew-resistant, and fun for baby to play with.

This is an inexpensive way to add a layer of water safety to my baby's bath routine. I've used it with both children and I trust its hot indicator. Some people forget that baby's skin is thinner and more delicate than ours. What's lukewarm for us may not be safe for babies. This duck is really cute ...see moreof the reviewer's review

I use this every time I give my son a bath. Often, I would have thought the water was the right temp since I'm a first time parent, but the ducky said it was too hot. Every parent should have one of these, it is SO easy to use.see moreof the reviewer's review

Bought this thinking the temperature feature would be easy to use. Didn't see any difference in hot or cold water so it's more of a toy than a functioning device. Nonetheless, it's cute and adds color to the bath.

This is a cute little duck that does a few things.Sometimes it floats and sometimes it tilts. Much smaller than I thought it would be but the child likes it so I guess it is worth having.

Does not work

The HOT reading on the bottom of the duck turns white, indicating that the water is too hot, if the water is lukewarm. We use a digital thermometer instead, and the duck will literally turn HOT when the bath water is less than 90 degrees. Don't waste your money. Just use a kitchen thermometer until ...see moreof the reviewer's review

Only shows if water is too hot & even that is debatable because it shows up in different shades of white, after using it twice got the water too cold for my infant trying to make the indicator dissappear.

We ended up getting rid of this because it was hard to tell when it was too hot or not. When it was really hot, yes that was obvious. We didn't need the duck to tell us, use your elbow to test baby's water and you will be fine.

I'm about to be a first time mom & because I take hot showers when I'm not pregnant I figured something like this would help me learn what is too hot for a baby versus what is too hot for me. Since I am currently pregnant & I have the normal pregnancy aches & pains I decided to try a warm bath & tes...see moreof the reviewer's review
