Q: These bottles are super expensive and once you’re halfway or a fourth done with it, it turns super gooey. What is wrong with it? This has happened to every bottle I’ve had from this brand.

A: Use nail polish thinner and not acetone to thin this out. Make sure the nail polish thinner only contains ethyl acetate and butyl acetate, the two chemical compounds that evaporate & cause thickening.
submitted byNiky - 6 months agoA: This is true, but you can still use it. One bottle lasts me many months. Just lay the bottle sideways and get out as much as you can on your brush and goop it on there.

I've tried several different polishes for nail strength, and after a month of use, this one seems to help the most. I frequently wear gloves that fill with sweat and wash my hands at my job, causing my nails to flake and break. I have had much less flaking since using this. Occasionally I'll have a nail where the polish seems to flake off easily, and it is pricey, but I would definitely recommend and purchase again. I was previously using Nail-aid brand from Amazon, which is much much cheaper and definitely added strength (would also recommend as its under $5), but I think my nails have managed slightly more growth using nailtiques.

My hands are always in water so my nails get really soft and peel. When I started using this years ago I would apply this once a day, every day for one week then remove it. Makes my nails grow super fast, the peeling stops, and they look really healthy. Now I just use it as a base and top coat with polish. Sometimes I need to go back to the weekly treatment but for the most part my nails stay strong using as a base/top coat. I always keep a bottle of this on hand!

Be consistent, using and applying as directed. Use an alcohol wipe before applying the polish. Once the polish has dried, apply a cuticle oil to nourish. I have never been able to grow my nails and years of acrylics, builder gels, and glue on nails had ruined my nails. I became allergic to acrylics then to gels. I spent hundreds per year to have pretty nails. Previously took a break from fake nails and used a different brand of strengthening polish. It did not work. Went back to fakes. Four years later, and recently began using Nailtiques brand, formula 2 for my needs, and I’m growing strong, beautiful nails. I cannot believe I waited so long and will never go back to fake nails again. It really is that good and worth the price for their product.

Formula is okay for what I need but not very effective and the brush makes application difficult. Formula 2 Plus is sooo much better but comes in such a tiny bottle, especially for the price! Still I'd rather by that or Duri Rejuvacote 2.

This product makes my nails grow so fast and so long that I actually have to cut them at times to make sure they don't end up bending if hit on something. I have tried all the other nail growth products (OPI Nail Envy, Sally Hansen maximum growth, Orly, etc.) and nothing compares to this formula. I even tried collagen powders and that was a huge waste of money and time waiting for something to happen. Buy this and you won't regret it!

This product burned my fingernails like a thousand suns. I prayed for sweet relief, but it did not arrive until over an hour later. If I could have used my fingers, I would have driven myself to urgent care. I am pleading with you all to be careful and avoid this product. I too, looked past the one star reviews and thought “it couldn’t be me”. But, my friends, it most certainly was. Heed my warning, this was the most intense and unbearable pain that I have EVER felt in my ENTIRE life. It felt like my fingernails were being ripped off, I’m not playing. I have so much beef with this product, y’all do not understand. Thank you.

I rarely write reviews, but when I say I have tried endless amounts of different nail strengthening polish’s it is the truth. This is hands down the best! I have weak nails that peel, this stuff is amazing! It stays on, doesn’t start to peel up after a day or two, and has done wonderful things for my nails. Amazing product for people with weak nails!

This isn't the same Formula 2 that I've used in the past and that worked so well! I have an old bottle of Formula 2 and this doesn't even smell the same. This isn't any different than the Formula 2 Plus which is half the price.

I’ve never had nails that weren’t thin and chipped. My hands are in water all day long, everyday. This keeps my nails strong and helps retain length. Use as directed. Again, use as directed and be consistent. I would say I saw results at the 2 week mark because this helped my nails stay strong as they grew. If you’re a biter, I would pair with polish that helps you not bite your nails. Here I am, in my thirties with nails for the first time ever.

I’m 41 and was so excited to rediscover nailtiques formula 2! I remember my mom having it when I was a teenager and I would use it then. I rarely leave reviews but love this so much I felt inclined to leave one. My nails were in rough shape, especially in the dry, cold Minnesota winter. Two nails in particular would peel and break and couldn’t ever grow. I would also have other nails randomly do the same. I’ve been using nailtiqies formula 2 for a couple months now and my nails are strong and healthy! I put on 2 coats every few days and remove it to start over every week or two. It dries quickly and leaves a beautiful shine. I’m not even halfway through the bottle. Buy this! It’s worth every penny and you won’t regret it!

Wanted to like this as I’ve seen so many reviews saying how much it helped. But it started burning my cuticle area and tops of fingers by the nail. My nails themselves started burning too and felt warmer to the touch. And that’s never happened with other nail products.

I have the weakest nails. I got this because of the positive reviews and I'm very happy. I've only used it for two weeks, putting it on every day. Usually polish starts to peel off within days, but this hasn't. I've even put polish on over it and then used it as a top coat. Still no peeling and my nails feel strong. We ll see what happens when I remove it, but so far it's a miracle.
