Nature's Bounty Sleep3 Time Released 10mg Melatonin Tablets - 15ct

I am a senior gal on SS with a Medicare Advantage plan that has an OTC monthly benefit that I fill through Medline. It was this past April that I first bought a package of Sleep3. So around mid-April 2025 I took my first dose to help with sleep. Up to that point I had been taking Melatonin 5mg and thought Sleep3 would be an improvement. I stopped taking Sleep3 on October 14, 2025 after some six months of taking it every night. For several months I had been noticing a pungent urine odor that I described to my PCP as strong, consistent and rather savory - that I just could not ID what it smelled like. He said probably a supplement I was taking and mentioned B vitamins. I stopped my senior multivitamin immediately but the strong urine smell didn't stop! I was concerned since I have had stage 3a kidney disease. Recently, I was having issues with headaches that come on right before I get up and nausea. Also recently, I had started removing the Sleep3 tablets, 7 at a time, from the foil wrapping to put in my 7-day pill case. THAT WAS WHEN I NOTICED A WEIRD SMELL FROM THE TABLETS! It was a lightbulb moment and I started researching the ingredients ... particularly L-Theanine and Valerian root. I found an online forum with people talking about how Sleep3 tablets smell like poop or dirty feet and mentioning other concerning issues. I didn't stop the Sleep3 until a week or two later still thinking "it couldn't be the Sleep3 could it." Well, one day after stopping, I could still smell a hint of the weird savory pungent odor in my urine. Then it was 2 days later and essentially it was GONE!! Oh man I thought, my PCP was right!!! He didn't know I was taking Sleep3 but knew I was taking Melatonin.

I took this the first night at 9:15 pm as I usually go to bed at 10pm. I relaxed in bed with a book. Fell asleep a little before midnight and wide awake at 3 am. Second night took at 8:30 pm and asleep around 11 pm and awake before 3 am. The directions on the box indicate take 30 minutes before bedtime. This stuff is a joke!!!!!

I havent had a bad dream in many years. I tried this the first night and fell asleep but had a night mare. Didnt think much of it but it happened again on night 2. Went back to my zolpidem and no night mare. Tried one last time 3 nights later and another really bad episode. Stay away unless you enjoy a good nightmare!!

I usually don't have troubles falling asleep. My issue is, when I want to move my bedtime earlier, I always wake up between 1-4AM and many times can't fall back asleep for hours. The first night I took this, I slept through the whole night. I've only taken it a few times but it works every time for me. Worth every penny.

Might work on babies did nothing for me I stayed awake 24 hours

Why use coloring in a tablet? Who cares what color it is?!? Nightshade vegetables cause me migraines so "natural" vegetable coloring does me no good. So it really doesn't matter if they worked or not, sad because they have the right ingredients for me. I have been told by my doctor that overuse of melatonin is bad. It will mess up your hormones ladies. And he told me it's only effective when used occasionally so you should look up how long you can take it and when to take a break, what dose is most effective etc. If you don't like the smell or taste of these, that is the valerian root, so try to find one without that.

Product has very sticky surface, difficult to swallow even after 16 ounces of water.

I purchased these sleep vitamins to hopefully help me fall asleep faster and stay asleep at night. They helped me fall asleep, but they did not last.

The first night I took it, I didn't pay attention and I popped it out of the foil pack and down it went. The second night I just held it in my hand a bit longer to go get some water, and, afterwords, I started smelling this bad odor of smelly feet. After looking around trying to locate it, I realized it was my hand! The following night then, I actually took out one of the Nature's Bounty Sleep3 Melatonin 10mg pills and smelled it. The smell of these pills is simply revolting. It literally smells like someone's feet after a long day walking or a sports game. I popped more of them and from a different pack to see if maybe it was just a few of them. Nope. They all have an overwhelming odor of sweaty, dirty feet. I threw them in the garbage and I will start looking for a different brand also for my vitamins. This made me completely distrust Nature's Bounty. Beware!

Nature’s Bounty Sleep 3 is great. I’m able to fall asleep quickly (taken 30 minutes before bed) and stay asleep all night. The extended release portion provides enough melatonin throughout the night to ensure I stay asleep. If I wake to use the restroom in the middle of the night (I drink a lot of water), I’m able to fall asleep right away. Make sure to give yourself 8 hours of sleep time, as it can make you groggy if not enough time has elapsed to dissolve the extended release portion.

This is a very mild vitamin that works like a melatonin. It calms you down and helps with falling asleep longer and quicker. Also, it is not habit forming and is meant to be used just when you need it.

I have been using Sleep 3 for about a year. It works very well compared to melatonin alone. Most nights I can sleep from about 10pm-5 am with little or no interruption. When I take an alternative melatonin-based product, I do not get nearly the same restful sleep.

These worked so well when times I have a really hard time falling asleep they put me right to see, in about 10 to 15 minutes which is nice that gives me time to go to the bathroom and fluff my pillow

This product works for me if I maintain regular sleep hours, 10pm-7am. I take the pill about one hour before bedtime.

I have tried it a week in a row now. It makes me a little sleepy and then nothing. I guess it works for some and not for others. I have many tablets so I will keep trying and report if something changes

I’ve been on melatonin for over 10 years now and I always buy this brand because of the quality and price. I love a cheap produce that actually works!

This product has a good amount of melatonin in it, so it works like a dream. I prefer the green variety; but love both. I had no idea there was a bigger size than the 30 count! I would purchase those sizes, were I to find it!!

I was hesitant about taking any sleep aid, however this particular one works fast and it’s effective. It does help me fall asleep but it doesn’t keep me sleep. Still worth it tho.

This is a great OTC option for sleep aid medication.
