Q: Since they are so big can they be cut in half or do you have to swallow whole?

A: We recommend following the suggested use as stated on the label of your product. However, if the tablets are difficult to swallow, the tablets may be crushed and mixed with yogurt, applesauce or beverage that is not hot. It is not recommended to cut tablets as it may create a rough edge and make it difficult to swallow.

I started taking these once a day to prevent mouth sores and they seem to be working! (On my 3rd bottle now) I’ve noticed a good side-effect of less acne and better/healthier looking skin as well. I’ve never had any stomach issues with them but I always take them with a meal. As for the pill size, they’re similar to any other large supplement pill.

WARNING
Had terrible nausea when taking this for a year or two that was every day, all day, it also didn’t help to prevent cold sores really. Once I stopped taking it, my nausea went away pretty quickly. It may not happen with every person or most, but just a heads up.

Works for mouth sores!
I’m on a low dose chemo drug and get mouth sores. Folic acid helps but I still get them. I added this in at the recommendation of my doctor and with this if one comes up it’s super small and heals within a day or two. It’s amazing!

Been using for years
The pill is very large but they work. I have been using it for years to keep cold sores away and it works great as long as i keep taking it. If i stop they come back. Occasionally a mild one will pop up but then i increase the dose to one pill twice a day instead of once a day. Cold sore is gone in a few days. Doesnt upset my stomach as long as i take it with a meal or snack.

Enormous Pills Choking Hazard
I wanted to love this product however the pills are enormous without enough coating. I have choked on them several times trying to swallow them and had to drink copious amounts of water to get them to go down. Please consider either cutting the pill size down or adding an additional slippery coating to them.

usually im not one to leave reviews, but ive struggled with cold sores since i was little and NOTHING helped.. but this pill works wonders. the cold sore is gone completely within a week! i also use the lysine medicine you put on along with taking this pill every morning. i would definitely recommend this product if you are prone to cold sores!! they are a little big but if you cut it in half its much easier to take!

Please cut the pills down in size!!!
BEWARE I’d the size! I started taking this after reading an article on amino acids. I also suffer from cold sores and use prescription Acyclovir cream. I wanted to add this in as an extra measure. I don’t know why I thought I could down this entire pill and the first time I took it I choked with it lodged in my throat! After 10 minutes of trying it get it to go down or come up and drinking water, it finally went down. Please do yourself a favor and cut the pill down! I love Nature Made out these pills are literally a hazard!
