The hooks on the front of the necklace fan are clips, and just like the large clip on the back, they are meant to be used for any fan purpose that a customer comes up with. For example, the clips could be used to hang something off of, like a name tag, if the customer had the fan being worn as a necklace or if it was clipped to the top of their shirt with the large back clip. There is no necessary or expected use for the front clips, they were designed to be there in case the customer finds a use for them. We hope this information helps! If you’ve fully charged the fan—meaning it was connected to a power supply using the charging cable, the red light turned on during charging, and then turned off once fully charged—then pressed the power button on the side and saw the blue light come on, but you’re not feeling any air from the top vent (the narrow slot at the top that would point toward your chin when worn around the neck), then the unit may be defective. In that case, we recommend exchanging it at your local Target store—even if the packaging has already been opened. Some customers have mistakenly expected air to come from the front slots, where the fan blades are visible, but the airflow actually comes from the narrow top vents. We hope this clears things up! Our Dealworthy Necklace Fan will run for 1.5-4 hours depending on the fan speed used, however, several factors outside the fan itself can affect battery runtime. Environmental conditions like very hot or cold temperatures can also impact how efficiently the battery performs. If airflow is blocked or the fan is placed too close to a wall or object, the motor has to work harder, which can drain the battery faster. To get the longest use between charges, we recommend using lower fan speeds when possible, keeping the fan in a well-ventilated space, and avoiding exposure to extreme temperatures or direct sunlight. If there are not environmental factors affecting the battery runtime and you are using the highest setting you can expect to get 1.5+ hours of use from a full battery charge.
