Q: Please tell me if Tollhouse DARK chocolate chips contain soy. My allergy to soy is severe so I cannot accept MAY contain soy. All other Tollhouse chips contain soy as far as I know.

A: These do have a may contain soy statement on them. We would suggest looking for our Toll House Allergen Free Morsels, as they are free from the 9 major food allergens: Peanuts, Tree Nuts, Eggs, Milk, Wheat, Soy, Fish, Shellfish, and Sesame. We hope this helps! -Teresa

Q: This exact product listed on the bag that it contained a bio-engineered ingredient. This was recently- I still have the bag. I don’t want that in my food. Now I see that the labels no longer list that as an ingredient. What changed?

If I knew how to take a picture, I would. ;). I have 6 of the large ,(20 oz) bags of "chocolate chips". Each one completely melted and then apparently chilled down. They're still useable, but...I can't wait to see how the replacements are shipped to me. LOL

I bought 3 of this item at a reduced rate & all 3 had expiration dates that had passed. Two by 3 months & 1 by 5 months. I do not think any vendor should sell expired food much less charge you even at a reduced rate.

These are advertised as gluten free - they are NOT. I’m worried someone will eat them and get sick if they believe they are gluten free and have celiacs disease or an intolerance to gluten.

Normally I would be fine with them but this time the seam to close the back of the package was not sealed. When I took them out of the Target bag chocolate chips went all over my kitchen! Maybe caution the shoppers to check for that when they’re bagging orders.

Maybe it's been too long since I bought milk chocolate chips, but these were just so bad. I usually get get Ghirardelli, but prices what they are, I decided to try Nestle. Honestly, I'd prefer Hershey chocolate over these and I really don't like Hershey's chocolate. Some things I guess you just have to splurge on. If you are just looking for a suger hit and don't care about the taste much, go ahead and save yourself some money and buy these.
