To use as a cleanser: Wet face. Squeeze into hands and gently massage all over the face. Avoiding the eye area. Rinse thoroughly and pat dry. To use as a mask: do not exceed 2 to 3 times per week. Squeeze into hands. Smooth an even layer over skin, avoiding the eye area. Allow to dry up to 5 minutes. Rinse thoroughly and pat dry. Because excessive drying of the skin may occur, start with one application daily, then gradually increase to two or three times daily if needed or as directed by a doctor. I if bothersome dryness or peeling occurs, reduce application to once a day or every other day. If going outside, apply sunscreen after using this product. If irritation or sensitivity develops, stop use of both products and ask a doctor.Other information

A: In my opinion not really. I don’t get a “deep clean feeling” afterwards even though it tingles during use. It’s good for maintenance I guess if your skin is already mostly “clear” although I haven’t used it consistently. I think it works best after makeup has been removed and you’ve already washed your face w a cleanser

I really love this mask but I have sensitive skin and you do really need to be careful with it, as it is powerful. I would NOT use it as a cleanser, and just as a weekly mask instead. Dry your face before applying (wet skin will cause it to penetrate more deeply which can make it much too strong). Only leave it on 5-10 minutes, wash it off as soon as it dries or just before. Do not overdo it. If I am careful with it like this, it is an extremely refreshing and deep cleaning mask that does not bother my skin. However, leaving it on too long or using it as a cleanser will over-dry my skin and irritate it. This is my all-time favorite mask in summer for my oily acne-prone skin, but def respect the strength of it if you are sensitive!

I really love how this mask goes on hot and rinses off cold. I haven’t found another mask that does this, and I really enjoy the experience. It doesn’t clear out pores as much as others, but it’s really nice to add into the mix of your routine every week or so.

This product makes my acne prone less oily and diminish the acne almost the next day. My only concern with this and all Neutrogena products is the packaging. They do not provide any type of safety seal. Open cap and product available. So its at your own risk.

The clear pore cleanser/mask works great as an everyday cleanser for skin that is not very sensitive but for sensitive skin it would be best to use every other day. Moisturize after use. Leaves skin feeling refreshed and clean. Would 100% buy and use again.

As Daily Cleanser...it's very gentle and foams up easily! It leaves my skin feeling sooo clean!! And, it does not dry out my skin! As a Mask...I used to use it as a Mask 2x a week! Apply on dry skin and wait up to 5 minutes or so and rinse...that's it! Nice and easy! It left my skin feeling Cleansed, refreshed, exfoliated and my pores felt cleaner! It did not dry out my skin and no tight feeling! Like I said, I used to use this all the time!! It's a great product! But, most of the time it's difficult to find! I have very oily skin and this dual cleanser/mask product does wonders for preventing breakouts. The active ingredient (benzoyl peroxide) is my favorite for acne and I love that I can use it for daily cleansing, but also a weekly intensive mask. No matter what, using this product results in soft and hydrated skin (without the excess oil).

I use this first, I love how you can use it as a daily cleanse or as a mask. I use it as a mask, it sets out your skin after but that’s why I use another neutrogena cooling one after. Works great.
