I’ve been using Neutrogena sunscreens for a long time! It is very good at protecting you from the skin and keeping you from getting burned. The texture is a light lotion that rubs in super easily and doesn’t leave a white cast on you. The scent is nice, it’s light and not overpowering at all. I highly recommend this!

I've used tens of different sunscreens throughout the years, and I can say that Neutrogena Ultra Sheer Dry-Touch Sunscreen SPF 70 is one of the best. It is strong on all-day broad-spectrum UV protection but so light on the skin. Most sunscreens with such high SPFs leave a heavy greasy film that leaves something to be desired; this goes on quickly and leaves behind NO heavy greasy film, making it ideal for skin that will eventually see makeup, or even skin that is makeup free. The dry-touch finish is amazing. It disappears on the skin, leaves no white cast, and keeps my skin feeling just that, fresh - not sticky. It is also water resistant, which means I can trust it during a workout, a day at the beach, or when I'm outdoors for many hours. If you're looking for a sunscreen that has max SPF protection without sacrificing comfort and wearability, I would recommend Neutrogena Ultra Sheer Dry-Touch Sunscreen SPF 70 again and again.

I have used this in past years with pleasure, but when i re-purchased in spring 2025, i discovered a different product. This is watery and separated into clear water and slimy lotion. i shook tube to blend, which helped, but never very much. struggled to use for months, finally discarded. lot number on tube is lot 31124J
I really liked it, I highly recommend it.

Personally I use this sunscreen and am rather happy with it. I feel that as a broad spectrum sun protection it works great. It comes in handy size that I can throw in my beach bag and have available whenever needed. My only complaint is that I don't feel like the absorption is as good as others and recently I put it on in the morning and about an hour later it was still not fully absorbed and got on our truck seat, doors and some other items. I wasn't able to clean the vehicle fully but I also didn't get a sunburn!
White cast

This formulation leaves a terrible white cast. I thought that this was the same as the sheer sunscreen from years ago with an updated package design, but it’s not. Although the ingredients don’t list any mineral sunscreen ingredients that typically leave a white cast, I have noticed that this formula is a lote less oily and less prone to separation than what’s in the formula that they sold prior to 2025. I am so terribly annoyed by this. Neutrogena please bring back the old formula that is actually ultra sheer (the one with spf 30) that does not leave a conspicuous white cast. I’m a black woman and this builds up within the crevices of my neck, my face looks like I’ve adhered talc to it with a lotion adhesive. Who asked for this updated formula?!? Garbage!

Recently went on a cruise to Caribbean. I applied the 70 everywhere! I overheated so badly!! My body could not sweat with this on. My feet and ankles even swelled. My body seemed to keep all water in. I was drinking water constantly because I was miserable! Too much. I will do 35 and apply opten.

Gee did someone use up 3/4 of the bottle and return it? For the price I would have expected more than 3 applications on JUST my neck face and Hands. And I am a small person 110 lbs. It also felt weirdly greasy and it was very separated even after vigorous shaking. Gross.

I used to love this sunscreen but they must have changed the formula when they changed the packaging. It is terrible and burns all our eyes when water mixes with the sunscreen. Everyone on our vacation complained about the same thing happening.

They must have changed the formula for the better! I keep switching sunblocks trying to find just the right one, great coverage/SPF, but non greasy. It's nearly impossible. I have not used this Neutrogena sunblock in over a year, and thought I would try it again because everything else is leaving me greasy. This one is for the win. Does what it says, Dry Touch. Neutogena Ultra Sheer is one of my favourite daily sunscreens. It doesn’t leave any white cast after application or irritate my sensitive skin. It has a satiny-matte finish so it works great as a base under makeup, but does take some off after I reapply throughout the day. Has a very mild lotion-y smell, but not fragrance-y either. Overall, I love this sunscreen and the higher spf value as well!
