Q: Which ingredient is Zinc Oxide in Ultra sheer dry touch SPF 70?
Zinc Mineral has ~21% Zinc oxide. My skin is getting "thinner". Is it time to switch to pure Zinc Oxide? Will I be missing the other moisturizers in the Ultra Sheer dry touch?
submitted by RN - 2 years ago
A:Â Hi there, our Utlra Sheer Dry-Touch sun line doesn't contain Zinc Oxide. If you're looking for one that does, we'd recommend trying our Sheer Zinc Mineral Sunscreens.
It left a white cast. It’s thick, greasy, and broke me out.

I’m sorry but this sunscreen is definitely one of my least favorites, it doesn’t protect at all , and when you apply it , it makes you look so white!

it does the job, and I think it does help protect the skin from the UV rays. It also doesn’t leave your face white. I would recommend.

I'm African-American, and this sunscreen leaves a white cast on my skin. Also, I have hirsutism (facial hair) caused by ovarian cysts, and it leaves a lot of white residue in my facial hair. I switched to this from the Aveeno facial sunscreen, because I wanted to try a higher SPF, but I'm going to switch back to the Aveeno or try something else. For someone with really pale skin and/or who has no facial hair, this product could probably work well.

Neutrogena has been my go-to facial sunscreen for years. It is easy to apply, absorbs quickly and doesn't interfere with my makeup. No offensive scent either. Most importantly, it works! I spend a lot of time out in the hot sun during the summer and I haven't had even the hint of a sunburn in many years (I burned very easily when I was growing up). I credit never leaving home without having applied my Neutrogena sunscreen at least in part (OK, good genes may have something to do with it as well) for people always telling me I look a lot younger than I am.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This line of sunscreens is the ONLY one I've ever tried that doesn't feel greasy, clog my pores, cause breakouts or - the worst - sting my eyes when I'm sweating over the mower, hiking in the woods, or hanging out at the pool. I usually buy the 45 spf twin packs, but have also used the 70 and 100 spf with the same results.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love the smell and how this product works. So many sunscreens smell weird or feel greasy but this one does the opposite. Smells good and doesn't leave to glistening with grease

I was bothered by the acne for the past few months and try to simplify my skin routine. Came across this product and tried it. Perfect for sunshine days because it is broad spectrum and 70 spf. The only thing I would caution new user is to apply carefully and avoid white marks, other than that, love it and will buy again!

I am a bit on the tanned side, so this sunscreen unfortunately leaves a white cast on my skin. It also takes a lot to rub it in. It does however leave your face soft, but at the expense of looking like a ghost.

I use a small amount and can cover my face and arms without that pasty white or greasy residue. It did not clog my pores or was removed by sweat.

I have been using Neutrogena ultra sheer dry-touch for years and was a little disappointed to find out that SPF100 was discontinued. However, SPF70 is just as good and it has all the same characteristics. It is dry to the touch, absorbs very quickly, there is no smell or residues and protects your skin for long periods of time. Also, there are no allergic reactions.

I really wanted to like this. It applies nicely but it leaves my face with a faint white look. It is a little chalky and transfers easily to dark colored clothes. It’s a shame.
