This dash ball is a component in the Steelie ecosystem of products and is meant to be paired with a device already equipped with a Steelie Magnetic Phone Socket or with a Steelie Freemount Bracket (sold separately) the Steelie Dash bBall is a high quality steel ball that is press fit into the machined aluminum base for security. It is equipped with 3M VHB adhesive that allows it to be securely attached to any smooth, hard, flat or vertical surface in your vehicle or elsewhere. The kit comes with one dash ball and two 3M VHB adhesive pads. Steelie neodymium magnets (not included with this component) are safe for use with mobile devices but should be kept away from magnetically sensitive objects like credit cards, pacemakers, or computer hard drives.

Great Product
I love the products, the only thing I wish they would do is send a couple of extra sticky pads. Mine was dropped in the dirt and is toast so I haven’t been able to use the ball in my car. I had one of these in my last car and loved it, plus I have the stand.

Low profile and works like a dream
My 5th truck that I have installed the das mount on. Sold my last truck to my brother and he loved it so much that he insisted on keeping it to use for himself. Had the ball in my jeep as well holds everything secure. Low profile and works like a dream.

Ingeniously designed, functional, solid materials. I am a repeat customer (steelie mobile mounts). As the phone sizes have increased, I've upgraded the size of the munts so they can handle the extra weight securely on my vent mount. BEST!

I use it every day
I got this for Christmas a while back as I was retiring my Garmin (now I use Waze and occasionally Google Maps) and I had no elegant way to mount my iPhone for navigation. I took a short while to decide where it should be mounted and away I went. Really nothing to criticize about this - I have used NiteIze products for years with similar success.

The only real complaint I have is about the windshield mount. The arm is way to short and it needs to extend for different vehicles. The current length is fine for a passenger car but it's was too short for a semi truck .

When in extreme heat or cold, the adhesive will have a tough time staying adhered to your dashboard. Great Product!!
Called in to find out why my part wasn't working, only to find out that I had ordered the wrong thing. Customer service was excellent and set me on the right path immediately. Used Nite Ize for years, and love the strength of their magnet and quality of the products!!
