Seems to work. Also, there seems to be lots of inaccurate information out there regarding lice. First, I don’t think much of anything “non-toxic” will kill lice eggs/nits so I don’t believe the manufacturer’s claim that this product will take care of an infestation in one treatment *UNLESS* one is also thorough with the lice comb. Perhaps it’ll kill some nits but I assume all dark-looking nits are possibly viable even after treatment. I comb them out if able to avoid them hatching and starting the cycle over again. Once all nits are showing up white/empty, then I can breathe a bit easier. The manufacturer doesn’t specify this. Second, nits can hatch on a scalp over two weeks after they’re laid according to a study I found online. It’s not many that do this but all you need is two—a boy and girl—to start the cycle over again! With all the conflicting/lacking information out there, I choose to believe this and therefore I am treating for 3-4 weeks in addition to combing so long as I keep finding dark nits. I am just not super thorough at combing. This will ensure that all nits hatch and then the “crawler” ones will get killed by the shampoo. Overkill? Maybe. But it worked for my kid (no crawling lice in the comb for two weeks now) and now it’s working for me (no itchiness nor dead ones falling out). But I have dreadlocks and am unable to comb so I have to treat over the next 3-4 weeks to try and just kill crawling ones as they hatch. Ugh. Is this product any better than the other oil-based treatments? Probably not, but it does the job! Best wishes.

Purchased this and used it with some eucalyptus mixed with olive oil and omg the lice were literally falling off! I combed and all the lice came out I usually put a plastic bag for an hour then comb again. No lice came out. So I will redo this in 5-6 days.

Unfortunately, this does not kill superlice as advertised. We watched live adults, past the recommended application time, be unaffected. Despite a significant time investment and much effort, this did not eliminate lice for our family and we wish that we wouldn't have wasted our money on this product.

Terrible product. Followed all steps and completed the treatment twice on my daughters. Still finding nits.

I bought this for my daughter in a emergency when we found lice. It seemed to have worked but then a few months later it came back, and came back again after using. We used this 3 times hoping it would kill everything, but it doesn't seem to work fully. I don't think it kills the eggs. Would not recommend save your money.

This does not work. When the treatment was rinsed out, the lice were still alive. Rechecked the hair the next day, and still found live lice and nits. I ended up taking my daughters to a professional.

Worked like a charm - remember combing is the most important part, and re-treat on day 7 and re-comb to double check.

Didn’t work on super lice like it claims. We did the treatment twice and the lice were back.

The comb in the box did not match the p tire as was a small plastic comb that couldn’t get through my daughter and my hair. Very disappointed since my doctors recommended this.

Trash!!! Don’t waste your money or your time on this, tried it, followed instructions and when I did a comb thru those little critters were alive and well after their luxury spa. Will never purchase this again, not to mention it’s way overpriced!

I’ve used different brands in the past and they never really worked for my daughter. Once I used this brand, instantly you noticed the lice falling off. It left her hair feeling smooth! Definitely would recommend 😊

After applying, I haven’t seen any lice for a month but then they came back in!

I found this to be very effective. So far I've only used once but will be doing a second application in 7-9 days. I found out I had lice along with my 3 little girls two days before our two week beach vacation. Talk about freak out!! I grabbed all the Nix not knowing much about the product. I have long thick hair and my other daughter has long thick hair. My other two have thinner hair but long. We went through about 3.5 bottles. I went crazy on mine though since I was doing it to myself. The just brushed the hair with a reg brush because after you wash it out it feels so unmanageable. Then I used the comb and it was so gross how much eggs come out. My hair dried nice and smooth and shiny. The girls hair still has an oily residue so I might try the dawn for the next wash. It was nice seeing the dead lice in the tub. My 3 year old did surprisingly well. I would recommend this!!

Followed the instructions and worked perfectly. The lice comb that comes with the box is very good. I’d recommend putting on a disposable shower cap (not included) while waiting for the shampoo to do its job.

Well, I’ve used another product from Nix and it worked awesome. This one didn’t have the spray and unnecessary items, so I thought it would be great too and save me a few dollars. It killed the lice, well at least two, but I could not comb through my hair, so I couldn’t get any nits out.. The shampoo was so strong that it left my hair unable to be combed through with the metal comb. Had I not used the other product, I might have thought it was normal, but it was terrible. Who knows if I got all the lice and the nits. Their kit with the spray (for furniture, not hair ) left my daughter’s hair very nice to comb through and get all the stuff out.

Worked well to kill live lice but certainly not the eggs. You will need to do two treatments, CDC recommends after 9 days per lice lifecycle. Made my hair extremely greasing (long and thick) but was easy to wash out of my daughter’s hair (shorter, thin).

I literally purchased this about 3 hrs ago. And so far I am amazed and at the same time mortified at the amount on eggs and lice the comb caught!!!! The package says to check back in 7 days and reapply treatment so I’ll probably check in about 3-4days. I have a very antsy child so I really appreciate how quick and easy NiX has made it for us parents!!! I applied the oil, and after only 10 minutes I had my lil one get in the shower, touch his knees and look down while I lathered it up and rinsed. The bigger lice slid right off with the rinse. Rinsed him off and hoped out of the shower 👍 gave him my cell phone while I combed through his hair.

Unfortunately with school children this happens, The little critters that like to leap from child to child, I’m glad this product solved the problem was easy to use and the comb was a huge help! Only had to use this one time application for my granddaughter long hair and bugs be gone! I highly recommend this product.
