I Like Target - 4 months ago, Verified purchaser
On 1st day - Power it off and on and then it bootloops. And it says Locked and Encypted out of the box. Many others say same thing! Nokia denies you to customize the software or stop their pre-installed apps. If you try to change anything, once you Power off and On they'll lock you out of your own phone! Nokia took away Recovery Menu on newer models! Cant factory reset. Only way is to send to Nokia. Really? Nokia used to be good for privacy and customizing but Now Now they want ALL YOUR DATA. They likely have a contract with NSA as facebook is uninstallable. Disable it and they'll lock you out.

I thought maybe I just got a bad phone that happened to be some sorta dud, but I see other reviews of people having the same issues as me. The thing lagged the second I took it out of the box, it's barely functional . I gave up on using the camera , it is impossible to capture a photo on time, you hit the button and it takes a good 20 seconds for it to capture the photo, and that's if it actually shows up and you don't end up with a camera roll full of blank/black photos !!! Every single app crashes daily , even simple things like texting , I can barely respond to a message or even open my texts without sitting there wasting so much time just to get the basics done , between the freezing and crashing of apps and the camera , and the terrible sound quality, I can say this is the WORST PHONE IVE EVER HAD . So disappointing

THIS IS NOT UNLOCKED!! This is a Consumer Cellular phone with setup for CC. If you want to unlock it for use with T-Mobile (for instance), you have to wait 30 days for CC to unlock it. CC will try to sell you their service for 30 days. TO TARGET! Why are you selling this as UNLOCKED??? (Target listing on website:Nokia C300 Unlocked (32GB) Smartphone - Blue). Check your item listings more carefully I am returning this phone.

This unlocked phone was… wait for it… locked! Yes, how convenient. Nokia Support says Target was supposed to provide me a PIN when I bought the phone. They did not. I’ve never had a Nokia phone from Target before, so I didn’t know to ask for a PIN. Maybe if I’d picked it up at Electronics, the Team Member there would have known to provide said PIN, but instead I used Order Pickup, because there was only 1 phone left, and I wanted it. The Order Pickup Team Member didn’t provide me a PIN. I didn’t ask for one. Now the phone is useless. Can I try to return it? Sure. Is that even remotely convenient? No. Am I a happy Guest? Not. Even. Close.

Nokia C300 Android

I have used this phone over 1 month already. WiFi and Bluetooth automatically are turned on several times, which I am not sure the reason. I am having doubt about using applications from this Android. Particularly Messages By Google. It seems that my messages can be leaked or read, and I also receive emails' contents similar to those messages sometimes from unknown senders. I will update later.

Great entry level phone!

Great entry level phone! I love the size of the device and the screen is really easy to see! Very thin and comfortable to hold with a solid and really high quality feel to it. The back is very nice and has a nice slightly textured feel to it. The camera is really nice and takes great pictures and videos plus the speaker is really loud so you can watch movies without needing headphones! The C300 is entry level so it is a bit slow, especially when "waking up" after being in your pocket for a while. Sometimes if you try to do too many things at once, it can be a bit glitchy with audio playback. I wouldn't try intense gaming like racing but puzzle games are fine. Overall, a really good entry level phone that I will be using for a long time plus Nokia offers really good OS and Security updates!

Good phone at a great price

I have been using this phone for 2-3 weeks now. My last phone was a Nokia G50, but I cracked the screen. As a replacement the C300 isn't exactly the same but there are some things I like better. First, the C300 is a little bit smaller and I love that. The trend has been for phones to just keep getting bigger, and they are just so big they are cumbersome and don't fit in the pocket. The C300 is slimmer and lighter as well, yet it still has great battery life. Definitely 2 days plus a little more with my usual use. If you play on it all day, it's probably not going to make it to the end of the second day. The C300 is a little bit slower waking up when you get it out of your pocket, and when you first open an app you're going to have to wait a few seconds before it's ready to use. Once in an app it operates well, though sometimes starting a video can have a delay of 1-2 seconds. Just be patient, and it's fine. The camera has regular and telephoto lenses and operates well. I love that Nokia continues to provide plain, unadorned Android OS, version 12 in this phone, with guaranteed updates. I hate paying premium prices for phones or the highway robbery carriers charge for "free" phones with 2 years of monthly payments, so getting an unlocked phone at a reasonable price that does everything you need is a good thing, and this C300 from Nokia fills the bill.

Nokia Forever!

I have been a Nokia owner for as long as I have had a cell phone, which goes back to 1999. I live in a mountainous state and when I was getting my first Nokia phone, I was told it was the best brand for where I live because of it having "better than average" signal strength. I found to be true. Now to this phone. I found the video quality to be much better than I expected for a phone in this price point. The call quality on Wi-fi is great and I didn't lose signal switching from Wi-Fi to cellular. Pictures taken with the 13mp.camera are really good for this price point also. It feels good in your hands and the texture of it makes it easy to hold. The snapdragon octa-core processor makes multitasking easy, plus the battery lasts all day watching a mixture of videos and surfing. I would recommend this phone.

Reliable and Affordable Mid-Range Smartphone

5 out of 5 stars
mneffid - 2 years ago
originally posted on Nokia.com/phones
Overall I think that this is a great mid-range smartphone. The phone itself is lightweight yet has a solid build and size and feels good in the hand, as is not too bulky. The back of the phone is slightly textured and has a bit of a metalic look to it and the camera design on the back is stylish and appealing. Like other Nokia devices, it is set up with google so its really easy to get it personalized and upload/download anything from/to your google account. Setup was quick and easy and can be personalized with minimal effort for those familiar with Android. Setting up biometrics was easy as well and the fingerprint reader worked as intended and unlocked the phone without having to move my finger around too much. Apps on the phone have been working fine without any glitches and they load quickly. I did notice a slight lag when there are several things opened at once as well as when scrolling too quickly, but that's to be expected on a mid-range device. The camera works well and did not have any noticeable lag to it. Photos came out crisp and videos were clear. The microphone picked up sound well and the photos and videos were able to be played back and viewed in good quality on the device. The speakers are also good and I could hear everything clearly. When playing music on the phone the sound comes out crisp and clear as well, although there isn't much bass that comes through. For the most part, I used this as a work phone so I downloaded Slack and used gmail and texts and phone calls. I also used a couple of company apps on it and Google authenticator. Overall I can say that the phone was perfect for what I needed. The sound was clear when I had calls or for huddles in Slack and I had no issues with texting or sending messages. The apps that I use for work all run fine on the phone without any lag and photos and videos could be shared with ease. I think that this phone is good as a work phone or it would be great for a teenager who needs a device to keep in touch with family but that won't be bogged down with tons of apps. There is a slot for a microSD card so that photos and videos don't slow it down but I mostly just used cloud storage to keep the device clean and fast. The battery is also great, as I charged it on the 31st of July and plugged it in for an hour on the 3rd and now its the 8th of August and its down to 15%. Overall, I was using the phone for about 3 total hours each day so the battery seems to be good quality with a long life, that might be different for people who use it more in the day. I would definitely recommend this phone for anyone looking for an inexpensive yet reliable mid-range phone. Its easy to navigate, has useful features, and has a stylish design that makes it a great phone choice. That, combined with the price-point and you can't go wrong with the Nokia C300.

Great features!

I am a G20 user and have been using this product (C300) for approximately two weeks. Overall, I like it very much. (My review is mostly based on the comparison with G20.) Pros: i) The screen is (slightly) brighter than G20. ii) You do not need to use a physical button to shut down. The power can be turned off from the quick menu. iii) This phone is compatible with G5 wifi so that you can enjoy a fast and stress-free internet experience. iv) The response is very quick, there is little to no delay. v) When taking photos, you can choose a wide range of aspect ratios: 1x1, 4x3, 16x9 and full. vi) The size is almost exactly the same as G20. I feel it is slightly thinner, and lighter. vii) You can easily go back and forth by swiping to the edge. (Namely, swiping to the left edge to go back to the previous page, while swiping to the right allows you to go forward.) The latter feature is absent in G20, and this is the feature that I have been waiting for. Cons: 1) The storage is limited. It has only 32G. So you will not be able to install too many apps, nor keep a large volume of videos and photos. (There is a slot for a micro SD card, so you can transfer media files to the additional storage.) 2) This phone comes with so many pre-installed apps. In light of its limited capacity, it might be a burden, though you can just uninstall those you do not need. Overall: I like this product. In particular, I would recommend it to those who are looking for a) a secondary phone (maybe for business purposes), and/or b) a phone for their kids, grandfather and grandmother. On the other hand, if you are the type of person who wants to install so many apps, maybe you wanna consider purchasing a higher quality product such as G20, G50, etc.

A stylish phone perfect for everyday use!

I've been using my Nokia C300 for basic cell phone use, such as email, texting, calling, web browsing, and social media. Everything has been fine and I haven't experienced any issues. I probably wouldn't recommend this phone for intense gaming or other resource-intensive apps, but it's more than capable of simple everyday use. It actually is on par with other phones that are in much higher price ranges. Setup was easy; I popped in my SIM card and pretty much followed the on-screen directions. There is very little bloatware -- this thing is pretty close to the desired pure Android experience. Although the back of the phone is plastic, it has a sleek blue color that actually makes it look more metallic -- I had a friend compliment me on how nice it looked! The display on the phone is very sharp and the colors really seem to pop in a good way. I haven't been using a screen protector, and so far the glass seems to be scratch resistant. The phone is large enough that it can be comfortably be used to replace a tablet for things like reading e-books. I initially was concerned about the camera, because my last Nokia had the Zeiss camera, which this one does not. However, the photos come out pretty much the same -- great for everyday photo use. The battery is probably one of the most underappreciated features of this phone -- it's definitely strong enough for multiple days at light use and definitely at least a full day at moderate use. They still included a cable and charger in the box, which is becoming a rare thing these days. There are two features this phone doesn't have that I feel are necessary to mention. There's no 5G coverage, but so far that hasn't been an issue for me as I'm on wifi the majority of the day and my region still has very limited 5G coverage. Also, there's no NFC, which means this phone can't be used for Google Pay's tap-to-pay feature. However, if those aren't critical features, I wouldn't recommend the lack of them stop somebody from purchasing this phone. Overall, another very nice product. I have had multiple Nokia phones over the years and have never been disappointed.

I am pleasantly surprised by this phone. It is able to handle what I need it do to with no major issues. The camera is pretty good for my purposes, the night vision is a nice touch.. The video capabilities are good as well, although the audio it records seems louder than my previous phone. The screen is very responsive and the few games I have tried ran perfectly. The fingerprint sensor on the power button took a little getting used to, but it works great with only a minor delay before the screen comes on. The phone is very light and fits my hand nicely. The only con I have is that the internal storage is only 32 GB, so it can fill up quickly.

It’s Everything That I Expected It To Be And More

I received the Nokia C300 this past Friday and I have to say that I am highly impressed! Upon opening the phone, the size of the phone was absolutely ideal. The fingerprint recognition as well as the facial recognition is on point. As with every phone, you want to make sure that you close programs you aren’t currently using, as it slows the phone down. When I went to run errands, the cellular network was great! It runs very quick using 4G. I love the color of the phone! It’s a very beautiful blue color. The apps come up very quick and the sound is AMAZING when listening to music. Phone calls are clear. The built in weather app is also very cute! You have to click on it at the top to see it but it’s got the cutest images to go with it. The camera takes very clear pictures and there are many settings that you can use when taking a picture. The phone charges very quick and the battery life is awesome. The only thing I would have liked to see is NFC, but it is not a make or break situation for me. This is a great phone and I highly recommend it! This is definitely my go to phone from now on.
