Description

Construction: The Nordic Ware Tube Cake Pan is made from formed aluminum that promotes even heat distribution for consistent baking and browning. Its lightweight, rust resistant and warp resistant construction makes it easy to handle for everyday baking. The 12 cup capacity accommodates a variety of tube cakes, ring cakes, and molded desserts.
Nonstick Performance: The smooth silicone based nonstick coating helps cakes release from the pan while preserving their shape and fluted details. The coated interior helps reduce sticking and makes cleanup easier after baking. The center tube allows heat to reach the middle of the batter, supporting even baking throughout the cake.
Design: Part of the Nordic Ware Northern Lights Collection, this tube cake pan features a vibrant Aurora Green finish inspired by the aurora borealis. The fluted center tube and shaped sides create the familiar ring form of tube cakes and other molded desserts. With a 12 cup capacity, this pan is suited to pound cake, coffee cake, angel food cake, monkey bread, and other recipes designed for tube pans.
Care Instructions: Before each use, brush with butter or shortening and dust with flour or cocoa to coat. Baking spray containing flour may also be used. Oven safe up to 425 F. Hand washing is recommended. Avoid metal utensils, scouring pads, and abrasive cleaners, which can damage the nonstick coating.

I got this through the King Arthur Baking site - they no longer carry it - possibly for good reason. The non-stick coating flaked off into the braided pulla I baked. Other than this huge problem, the pan is the perfect shape for what I wanted (simple straight sides, fairly wide center opening) for monkey breads.

Great for baking Coffee Cakes.

The pan you didn’t know you needed. I was looking for a specific pan to bake coffee cakes. In researching cake pans if you use the correct cake pan it makes the cake come out better. I was using a bunt pan to make coffee cakes. When I found a coffee cake pan which I didn’t even know existed, it made a world of difference in how my coffee cakes came out. It was the right texture and height.

I like it's large size and tall sides, making it versatile for many uses. It releases the baked good easily and cleans up easily. It's just the right weight, not too lightweight nor too heavy.
