I've tried a few different kinds of flax seeds. I grind them up in a coffee grinder. These seeds are lighter in color so it's easier to hide it food. And you can hardly taste it. Flax seeds were recommended to me by my cardiologist. Piping rock are the best, fast shipping at a good price.

Besides the Omega 3's, I believe that flax seeds are good for keeping things regular, and the fiber from seeds is good for all around health.

Effective
Like to put this, or the powdered flaxseed I purchase from Swanson, in our protein shakes. The seeds add a bit of crunch, which I like, and the powder tends to make the shake a bit thicker. Does not alter the taste of the shake in my experience and I like the added benefits I get from putting it in there.
