  • A: You can experiment with other mixes. We’ve only tested the YumYum Oven using the official YumYum mixes, which are specially designed for best results. Other mixes may work differently since we haven’t tested them, so results can vary. However, we have heard from customers who've had baking success with their own mixes.

Fun to make, not the best to eat

They turned out a little funky (nothing like the picture) but my daughter had fun baking and liked them. I would only buy when they are on sale.

Teaching skills

Getting kids off their screens and doing something with their hands! I like that it helps teach kids practical skills like following directions and baking.

These Cookies Turn My Niece Into a Mini Gordon Ramsa

We use this mix with our YumYum Oven, and it’s honestly perfect for it. My niece LOVES making these cookies — mostly because she gets to proudly announce, “I baked this myself!” every time she hands one to someone. The Chocolate Chippies come out soft and warm, just the right size for the tiny trays, and they smell amazing while they bake. The instructions are simple enough that she can pretty much do everything herself (with me supervising like a helicopter baking coach). We’ve tried a lot of kids’ mixes over the years, but these actually taste good—like a real chocolate chip cookie, not a pretend one. Total win in our house and absolutely worth stocking up on.
