The eyeliner came COMPLETELY dried out. I usually use NYX Epic Ink but it wasn't available so I thought I'd try this. It came all dried out so I couldn't even apply it, and the brush was badly frayed. The brush wasn't even completely coated in the eyeliner. I shook it for 3 minutes but it didn't change a thing...im really disappointed. I usually love NYX but this eyeliner is horrible.

I usually love NYX, but my Vivid Matte liner was a miss. It came dried out straight from the package, and the brush was frayed and uneven, making precise application impossible. I never even got to test the formula because there was nothing to work with. The packaging looked sleek, and the price was definitely affordable, but the quality control just wasn’t there this time. Disappointing for a brand I normally trust.

This product is super precise and easy to apply. The dry time is decently short, and has little to no transfer once dry. The matte makes this eyeliner pop well even with shimmer shades of shadow applied underneath it.

It hurts me to rate my all-time favorite eyeliner so low, but the quality is not what it used to be. This was my go-to eyeliner for years, and I was really upset when NYX discontinued it for a brief time. I even commented in the reviews to bring it back. When they brought the NYX Vivid Matte back, it was great. But as recently as October of 2024, I started noticing that the liquid was clumpy and unusable. I had bought 3 new eyeliners and they were all dried out. I went to another store and bought 3 more and it was the same issue. I gave up and started using a different eyeliner from a different brand, but I still missed the formula and brush tip from NYX, so I bought it this week thinking that the issue had been corrected but to my surprise, the eyeliner was completely dried out. The higher ups in this brand need to take a look at the production of the Vivid Matte eyeliner because its obvious that this is a huge issue. I love NYX for the high quality of their products, but this is a BIG problem you can't ignore. Please do something to resolve this issue with the crowd favorite, Vivid Matte Eyeliner! :-(

I used this eyeliner for 10 years. For the past few months, every. single. bottle. I’ve purchased has been COMPLETELY dried out. I’ve bought probably 10-15 bottles from four different states and all have had this problem. It’s completely unusable and many other people are having the same issue. This used to be my holy grail eyeliner and I’m so sad that the quality has taken such a nosedive.

Brand new bottle completely dried out. This keeps happening and no amount of shaking is going to re-liquify and un clump the dried bits. I shouldn’t have to add water in a brand new bottle to “revive” it.

i’ve recently bought 2 of these. the first was completely dry and the second one clumpy and unable to go on the eye properly . i don’t know what they did with the formula because it used to be my favorite but i wont be buying this anymore

Thought the last one was just a one off, so I returned it to purchase another totally unusable eyeliner. Totally dry even though I shook it for what seemed like forever. Very disappointed. If I could do 0 stars I would because this sucks.

I bought this a couple of days ago and just opened it now, and the brush was completely dry with 0 product on it (very light brown/yellow bristles). I thought it was because I didn't shake it, so I shook it vigorously several times as it says to do on the box, but the brush came out exactly the same with 0 product on it and dry. I even left it upside down and warmed it in my hands for several minutes and this did not help. Reddit users have also complained about this exact same thing, which sadly I only saw after buying the product. Avoid.
