A: Hi Gab! This product does not contain large beads. It does contain Hydrated Silica. These tiny non-scratching skin-polishers, AKA Hydrated Silica, break down while removing dirt and oil. This unique characteristic will prohibit you from over-scrubbing and ultimately protect you from unintended damage of over-exfoliation. Hope this helps!

submitted byOlay - 4 years agoBrand expertA: Just FYI, I’ve been researching beads in face cleansers. Apparently the use of plastic micro beads in cosmetic products was banned in the US in 2015. This product contains hydrated silica which is a natural product like sand that’s not harmful to the environment. There are at least 2 reviews giving this product 1 star because they say it contains plastic micro beads - I’m not able to respond to their reviews, but someone should. Hoping this will help stop the spread of misinformation.

New formula? Not the same. Package is completely different. Says Vitamin E on it now you have to dig through the ingredients to find vitamin c. Definitely a different formula which is not as good as the old one.

I bought this product expecting some sort of scrub or foaming face wash at least. This product has neither, it was like using lotion to clean my face. I'll go back to the detoxifying pore scrub, it smells nice, soaps up, and scrubs.

Basic necessity of facial cleanser. Good at basic cleaning but not to remove makeup. This item is locked in the cabinet. It is annoying to wait for 15-20 minutes for the sale associate to come and retrieve the item for you.

This is one of the most average face washes I have ever used. It doesn't "regenerate" anything, so don't be fooled. It smells good, but it doesn't do anything that a regular low-end face wash wouldn't do. It definitely does not smooth out your texture. Not even a little bit.

I have sensitive and oily skin, and usually scrubs make both issues worse. I felt like my skin needed an extra scrub and came across this product on a Target run. The price was a little higher than I usually spend on face wash but it was beyond worth it. This product leaves my skin smooth and doesn’t leave me red or oily. It’s part of my skin care routine now!

This is a heavily perfumed product that caused an instant headache. I'm here to clean my face, not smell like perfume. I don't care how well it works, it's getting returned after one use.

Although; it was not my first time trying an Olay product, it was my first time trying this specific product and I was excited to try a new cleanser on my face since I have dry thirsty skin. The first thing I noticed was the bright shiny colors of silver and red. I also noticed the convenient size tube, and how it's easy to squeeze the cream cleanser out of the way the bottle stands. After using it for a week now, once in the morning and once before bedtime, it has a pleasant floral scent, been gentle, made my skin feel deeply clean, soft, detoxed, and moisturized. I was surprised the cleanser contained tiny exfoliating granules, that help to slough off any impurities and dead skin. I like how a small amount of product goes a long way and it doesn't leave behind a greasy residue. Overall, I have noticed the improvement to my skin since using it and how much healthier it looks and feels! I would recommend this cleanser to anyone wanting to try a gentle exfoliating cleanser.

I have combination skin, my dry areas are very dry with my maturing skin and this left me feeling very hydrated and not oily at all.
