A: Hello cs, the slats are made of wood that are spaced evenly apart (2.55" for king and queen beds; 2.24" for full and twin beds)

Q: What is the thickness of headboard? We only have 74” space so won’t be able to use the headboard. Without it will the rest of the bed be 70”?

Q: Could this be used with an adjustable base bed? So just the frame and not the slats. The adjustable base fits down inside of the frame.

A: Unfortunately, the bed frame is not designed to be used with an adjustable base. Any modifications to the frame, such as attempting to use it with an adjustable base, will void the warranty for the bed frame.

A: You can use any mattress thickness; however, please note that the distance from the slats to the bottom of the headboard is approximately 12 inches.

This is my second zinus bedframe and it was super easy to put together. It is sturdy and will work great. However, the tones of the bedframe are not as pictured. The headboard is darker and doesn't have the lovely knots and character that you see in the photo. It looks cheaper in real life and less interesting.

The bed itself is pretty decent quality and easy to build. However, the color of the wood is no where near to the pictures on the product listing. The wood is much much lighter. I probably would have requested a refund, but I didn’t have the luxury of waiting for another bed.

Very flimsy frame. Two of the slats broke the first time I slept on it. Zinus was no help when trying to get replacement slats. Had to use 2x4s instead. Only reason I didn't return it is too much of a hassle. Good that it is being used in spare room that barely gets used.

There's so much I love about this bed -- the design, that it doesn't squeak, that it was easy to assemble. But I wouldn't buy it again while I live in my current home. The metal legs at the bottom end are not inset below the frame, and in fact extend a little bit beyond the wood of the frame -- so in a small room where you have to get closebto the bed to walk around it, stubbed toes occur frequently. And I don't know about you, but I am sometimes barefood in the bedroom. If your bedroom is large, mazel tov! -- Buy it, you'll love it!

This is a wonderful bed. It's comfortable, sturdy, and went together easily. I'd advise laying all the parts out first, then assembling. The directions aren't the best, that's why laying it out worked for me. Start to finish, about an hour. Looks great, feels great, no creaks or squeaks. Thank you.

My mother got the bed frame for my daughter as a gift.. My partner put together the bed, and he said that it was really easy to follow the steps. He also stated he LOVED the cool tool gadget that came along with the pieces. Not to mention, the extra parts that were provided are smart! My daughter loves it!

Beautiful bed frame but awful quality. Only lasted about 8 months and it began to squeak like crazy. I wish I could return this horrible waste of money. When buying this bed frame please make sure to stock up on WD40. Also a bar detached from the headboard. Not sure how to fix that. If it wasn’t for the headboard holding the whole thing together I would just detach it.

So far I like this bed frame very much. I put it together by myself (and I'm 63!) and while the last step was difficult without a helper, it wasn't hard to do. Great handy tools are included. Once assembled, you can tell it's not a flimsy Ikea-style bed, it feels really solid. And no squeaks. Support slats with velcro are terrific and seem to stay in place. I wonder if the velcro will give out over time? Happy with this purchase. Plus, delivery was fast.

This is a great frame. I love the solid wood parts, that's fairly hard to find now. It's looks great and seems very sturdy. Once everything had time to settle, the frame doesn't make any noise.
