On paper, it looks great with 20g of protein and only 1g of sugar, but once you look at the ingredients. Whey protein isolate, soluble corn fiber, and a mix of artificial sweeteners, it’s clear it’s not the cleanest option out there. The flavor was also really hard for me to get through. It’s supposed to taste like a maple donut, but it was so sweet and artificial that I struggled to finish the bar. The texture is dense and chewy, which I don’t mind in a protein bar, but paired with that overly sugary taste, it just felt heavy and unpleasant. I like that it’s a high-protein, low-sugar snack, but between the artificial ingredients and the overpowering sweetness, this isn’t something I’d reach for again.

The taste was great but it did crack and leave a residue all over my hands. It doesn’t even taste like maple glaze anything anymore no maple flavor whatsoever comes through.
