This toothbrush has received mixed feedback from guests, particularly regarding its effectiveness and design for children. While some guests appreciate its fun character design and the way it encourages kids to brush, others find the brush head too large and the noise level excessive. The battery life is also a common concern. However, many guests note that it does a good job of cleaning teeth and helps establish positive brushing habits in children.

Love it!
My child loves this, and I like it because it helps get a better cleaning than a manual toothbrush would. Great product for the price.

Gets Mold build up
The moving parts get moldy underneath and in the in betweens. I’m disappointed and feel so bad I let my child use this.
1 reply from Oral-B team - 4 months ago
Thank you for your review; your feedback is invaluable and will be shared with our Quality Team. We apologize for the buildup on your child's toothbrush, and we understand how concerning this can be. Your experience is unexpected, as all of our products undergo thorough testing during the manufacturing process to ensure optimal performance. Additionally, we put a lot of thought and effort into the design to make it easier to clean. The buildup is often just residue from regular use. Even with rinsing after each use, toothpaste can harden over time, creating a chalky coating that may appear black, brown, orange, pink, or grey on the metal shaft, rubber parts, and charger. While it is very rare, mold on a toothbrush can occur if it is stored in an environment exposed to mold and bacteria, or if the plastic comes into contact with corrosive substances (e.g., cleaning agents, sprays, cosmetics, soaps, etc.). However, there is nothing in the actual brush head that can support mold growth. Certain ingredients in these products can make the plastic porous, allowing dirt and moisture to settle. To prevent buildup, rinse the brush head under running water with the handle on. Then switch it off, remove the head, clean both parts separately, and dry them before reattaching. We'd be happy to assist you further so your child can resume brushing. Please give us a call at (800) 566-7252.

Poor tooth cleaner
This toothbrush is not effective at cleaning teeth. My toddler has “cavernous” teeth and I could not clean out chocolate from a molar with this brush. I had to get a basic toothbrush to get it out. This brush is also very loud and rough. I went back to her electric Colgate toothbrush and it works well.

Too Loud
This toothbrush is way too loud. We have this and a kids spin brush brand and it’s much more quieter.
1 reply from Oral-B team - 7 months ago
We're sorry to hear that you feel this way. A lot of thought goes into creating features that we think you'll like, but we certainly understand that preferences can vary from person to person. Do not buy!!
The head is way too bed for a child. And what im surprised I didn’t see in the reviews is how extremely powerful and loud it is. It tore my 3.5 year olds mouth and gums up! Also terrible for the environment as you can’t replace the head

We appreciate you taking the time to share your experience with us. We’re genuinely sorry to hear our Kids Oral-B Battery Soft Toothbrush tore up your little one’s mouth and gums, as well as being too loud, powerful, and big. We’ll share your message with our Quality and Health & Safety Teams. This advanced children’s toothbrush features soft bristles for a gentle, thorough clean. The oscillating head has a raised center row, designed to clean chewing surfaces where cavities tend to form. Please be assured that we thoroughly inspect all our products throughout the manufacturing process to ensure they are safe for use as directed and that they provide the best brushing experience. We’re disheartened this wasn’t the case with you or your child. Safety is our top priority, and though we are sure you have already done so, we recommend discontinuing use of the product. We want to learn more so we can provide the best assistance for you and your little one. Please call us at (800) 566-7252.

Awful - Bulky toothbrush head
Big disappointment. Speaking of big, that’s the issue-the head is so bulky that I don’t even think it would work well for an adult mouth, much less a child’s. It’s 3 times the size of an adult electric tooth brush head. Awful!

We're so sorry to hear you're unhappy with the size of the brush head, and would like to help. Please know, we carry out extensive research and consumer testing when designing our products. Our toothbrushes are also designed to be comfortable to hold and easy to use for a wide variety of consumers. So that we can help you further, please give us a call at (800) 566-7252.

Great Way To Incentivize Brushing
This is a great toothbrush to incentive kids to brush! My daughter has absolutely loved using this toothbrush, and looks forward to brushing now. The batteries do run out faster than anticipated, and are a little tricky to replace, but definitely worth it!

We've many quality checks in place to ensure our toothbrushes operate effectively, so your experience isn't one we'd expect, Linnepoes, and we're sorry to learn about it. Just as background, Oral-B toothbrushes that use alkaline batteries should last between 4 and 6 weeks on fresh batteries. Our brushes are designed to be used for two minutes, twice a day. Feel free to call us at (800) 566-7252 if you'd like any further assistance.

Good clean, bad battery
My 4 year old LOVES this toothbrush. Is does a great job cleaning, but the battery doesn’t last too long. Fortunately, it’s pretty cheap.

Designed to pollute
What?? An electric toothbrush without a replaceable head. How irresponsible. Sure let’s clean our kids teeth, but pollute the world that they are going to inherit from us with disposable electronics. Unbelievable.

Thanks for taking the time to share this with us, Camille. While these brushes are designed to last for the dentist recommended 3 months before replacing, we appreciate the feedback. If you'd like to share more or have questions, you're welcome to give us a call at (800) 566-7252.

Not worth it
Brush head is too hard and big. It is also extremely loud when on.
1 reply from Oral-B team - 1 year ago
We're so sorry to hear you're not a fan of the design, and that this toothbrush is too loud. Please know, there are many quality checks in place to ensure only the best products reach you. A new toothbrush may initially feel harder than your previous one, which has likely been used for 3 months or more. The new one should begin to feel softer after repeated use. We also carry out extensive research and consumer testing when designing our products to ensure our consumers will enjoy our toothbrushes. So that we can help you further, please give us a call at (800) 566-7252.

Brush head is too big
This brush head is too large and bulky and doesn’t fit in my toddlers mouth. I got the oral b small round toothbrush and it’s smaller and you can get to the back of the mouth a lot easier.

Thanks so much for giving this toothbrush a try. We're very sorry to hear that it didn't fit your toddlers mouth. We do extensive testing to get the design of our brushes just right, so we'd love to share your feedback with our team. Please call us at (800) 566-7252.

Can't replace the brush head
Unreal you can't change the head. What a waste. A full electric toothbrush going to the landfill.

Amanda, we're sorry to hear you're disappointed in this toothbrush, and would like to help. This toothbrush doesn't offer replaceable brush heads, as it's only designed to last around 6 months, however, we do recommend replacing every 3. We have a variety of toothbrushes with replaceable brush heads, which we'd be happy to go over with you. So that we can help you further, please give us a call at (800) 566-7252.

Warning- mold after use
This toothbrush is my daughters favorite. It cleans her teeth well. Unfortunately there is a small hole/divot on the back of the head where water would get trapped and black mold started to grow after a few months. We had to throw it out.

Paige, we’re sorry to hear you’ve noticed a residue building up on your daughter's toothbrush. We have many quality checks in place to ensure only the best products reach you. Please know, we understand this is unsightly but it is likely a buildup from regular use. Even if rinsed after each use, residual toothpaste can harden over time and form a residue on her toothbrush. This buildup may be colored depending on the toothpaste and water hardness. In either case, this substance is not harmful and can be removed with a thorough cleaning. So that we can help you further, please give us a call at (800) 566-7252.

Cannot change head?!?
I find it really absurd that this electric toothbrush doesn’t have the ability to change the head. It’s essentially a disposable piece of machinery, which is so bad for the environment. I would’ve never bought it if I had known. This will only last you three weeks to a month before the bristles get all mangled and you need to toss it.

Fine as a follow up, I like you can replace the battery. Comes with a battery.
Fine, I use this mostly on the facial surfaces because after Manual brushing his lips are sucked in. I always let him brush manual, then I do it, then I follow up with this. I stand behind him and use one hand to brush and the other hand to move lips away so I can see.
