Ortho® Home Defense® Insect Killer for Indoor & Perimeter2 kills common household bugs such as ants, bees, beetles, centipedes, cockroaches, crickets, fleas, flies, millipedes, mosquitoes, moths, spiders, stink bugs, ticks, termites, periodical cicadas, and more (as listed). This insect killer creates a bug barrier of up to 12 months protection (against ants, roaches and spiders indoors on non-porous surfaces) to provide long-lasting results. In addition, the Invisi-Shield Technology formula gives off no fumes, dries clear, and dries fast. Use Ortho® Home Defense® Insect Killer for Indoor & Perimeter2 anytime as a preventative treatment or after you see evidence of insect activity for long lasting-control. Apply with confidence indoors (kitchens, bathrooms, doors and windows) and outdoors (perimeter of foundations, patios and decks, garages) wherever insects are a recurring problem. For indoor surfaces, hold sprayer 12 inches from surface being sprayed and apply a 4 inch wide band along the interior of the home in areas where insects are a recurring problem. You can use Ortho Home Defense Insect Killer For Indoor & Perimeter2 to control Pillbugs and Rollie Pollies. For best results Apply a 4 inch wide band along the interior of your home in areas where insects are a recurring problem. Spray the area until very slightly wet, but do not soak the area. On outdoor surfaces, set the spray nozzle to the outdoor setting, holding the sprayer 12 inches from the surface to be sprayed. Apply a 12 inch wide band along the exterior of the home. Again, spray until slightly wet without soaking.

I have bought two of these products and both of them have stopped working after a couple uses. One wand doesn't work at all and the other just makes noise without spraying.

Let's go over some troubleshooting: -Be sure that the connector at the end of the hose is firmly attached to the cap. *you should hear a distinct click once attached correctly* -Make sure the spout is sticking straight up -Check the twist cap and ensure that it is fully pointing to "ON" -Ensure that the wand is completely extended into the open position. -Ensure that the nozzle is completely set to one of the 3 spray patterns. * If between settings, it will not work correctly* -Can you hear a motor running? If not, Is the trigger lock disengaged? Is the battery strip on the battery pack removed? *If the trigger is disengaged and the plastic strip is removed, and the motor is still not running, change the batteries. -If you hear the motor running, potentially the siphon tube and sprayer need to be reprimed. *This is done by placing the container above the wand (either holding it above or setting it on something) and spraying for 30 seconds* -Lastly, the sprayer tip may be clogged. Soak the sprayer tip ONLY in warm soapy water for 10-15 minutes to dislodge any residue that may have crystallized in the sprayer tip. We want you to be confident in our products. I have had no mechanical issues or effectiveness issues. However , I knocked off a star because it does stain. I sprayed a dark railing and after it dried. You can see all the streaks and dripping. I suppose a wet wiping will clear it up but it means chasing all the spots on my window areas the spray has hit.

Stores away and the wand does not clog up in between usage. I use it inside my home as well as spraying around the exterior of my home. I spray around the windows as well. Living in Florida you cannot avoid bugs but this product is amazing.

I bought this a week ago. I live in an apartment building. Apparently a neighbor moved and had a major infestation. Of course they scattered. I purchased Ortho home defense. I sprayed they entire apartment. I've been cleaning up Dead roaches. I've treated twice. No more roaches. I highly recommend this product.

I’ve tried many products, but Home Defense Indoor-Outdoor is the only one that got rid of sugar ants fast. After spraying around the baseboard, whole parameter of the home, entry points, the ants disappeared within a day and haven’t come back. It’s easy to use, has no strong smell, and works both indoors and out. Highly recommend for ant problems!

I bought this for earwig season, they're so bad this time of year and nothing seems to slow them down. I sprayed Ortho Home Defense midday and that night the earwigs were having a full circle family reunion ON the surfaces I sprayed that day. I thought maybe I'd see dead earwigs the next day but nothing. I tried the process again and the same thing happened. Seems ineffective, at least for earwigs.

Just used Ortho Home Defense on home. Have used this a lot in the past without any issues. This time, a stain was left on the deck, as though it hasn’t dried, but it’s been over twelve hours since I sprayed. Not sure how easily it can be removed, if at all.

I have the worst garage spiders, and there are so many of them! I’m also terrified of spiders so my life has been an actual nightmare. I have tried so many products and none of them worked until my mom gave me a bottle of Ortho Home Defense. Skeptical, I sprayed around my garage, the perimeter of the outside of my home, and a little here and there indoors on the problem areas. 24 hours later and I have not seen one spider!! I don’t want to jinx it or speak to soon but so far I’m very impressed.

I'm in central California so my review is only based on that. If you write a review? Let people know your demographics, & it helps us all. This product is an invisible barrier so when it dries it still works for a long time. I apply every 10 months so I have that overlap b/4 12 months. Those big "ornamental Beatles" that look like giant roaches? get about 3' inside my garage roll up door and die. You must initially remove all the spider webs, from roof eves and sweep the parimeter as much as possible for a good application. Inside, I spray all baseboards, edges of walls to ceiling, door thresholds & sliding door, window tracks. I never have spider webs in or outside the house!! Yes, that means no spiders creeping on you while you sleep!! I usually do this every year around mid April. I have 2 big dogs and a small one & they have never gotten sick. Applying on the perimeter is very important basically where they don't have to walk on it. Hope this helps! Awesome product!

Been using Ortho Home Defense for many years to control house pests. I follow the instructions closely to spray correctly and at regular intervals. I've tried other products, including 'all natural, organic' concoctions, and they just don't work as well. When I spray for bugs, I want it to work, period. And this does.
Sprayer is junk after one use.

If you have a spout that the sprayer attaches to, make sure the spout is sticking straight up. If you have the twist cap where the sprayer hose snaps into the center of the cap, can you check that you turned the knob to the "ON" position. When fully in ON position, can feel the knob click and the arrow on the knob will point to "ON". Is the wand completely extended into the open position? Also potentially the sprayer may need to be reprimed, this can be done by placing the container above the wand by either holding it above or setting it on something and spraying for 30 seconds. We also suggest checking the nozzle is completely turned to one of the 3 positions. If it is in between settings, it will not work correctly. We want you to be confident in our products.
