Ortho® Home Defense® Insect Killer for Indoor & Perimeter2 kills common household bugs such as ants, bees, beetles, centipedes, cockroaches, crickets, fleas, flies, millipedes, mosquitoes, moths, spiders, stink bugs, ticks, termites, periodical cicadas, and more (as listed). This insect killer creates a bug barrier of up to 12 months protection (against ants, roaches and spiders indoors on non-porous surfaces) to provide long-lasting results. In addition, the Invisi-Shield Technology formula gives off no fumes, dries clear, and dries fast. Use Ortho® Home Defense® Insect Killer for Indoor & Perimeter2 anytime as a preventative treatment or after you see evidence of insect activity for long lasting-control. Apply with confidence indoors (kitchens, bathrooms, doors and windows) and outdoors (perimeter of foundations, patios and decks, garages) wherever insects are a recurring problem. For indoor surfaces, hold sprayer 12 inches from surface being sprayed and apply a 4 inch wide band along the interior of the home in areas where insects are a recurring problem. Area should be sprayed until slightly wet without soaking. For perimeter treatment, also hold sprayer 12 inches from surface being sprayed and apply a 12 inch wide band along the exterior of the home.

A: Using a screwdriver remove the 2 small screws at bottom of the wand to open battery compartment for Ortho Home Defense Max Indoor Insect Barrier. Remove used batteries and replace with new AA batteries in correct position as marked per diagram inside battery compartment. Hold sprayer so hose and spring are at the top. Battery on left will have "+" up, other 2 batteries will have "-" up. Securely close battery compartment door and replace the 2 screws.

Can be sprayed on the pot of the soil around the plant in the containers and planters. Treatment should be localized to the infested area.

I have the worst garage spiders, and there are so many of them! I’m also terrified of spiders so my life has been an actual nightmare. I have tried so many products and none of them worked until my mom gave me a bottle of Ortho Home Defense. Skeptical, I sprayed around my garage, the perimeter of the outside of my home, and a little here and there indoors on the problem areas. 24 hours later and I have not seen one spider!! I don’t want to jinx it or speak to soon but so far I’m very impressed.

I'm in central California so my review is only based on that. If you write a review? Let people know your demographics, & it helps us all. This product is an invisible barrier so when it dries it still works for a long time. I apply every 10 months so I have that overlap b/4 12 months. Those big "ornamental Beatles" that look like giant roaches? get about 3' inside my garage roll up door and die. You must initially remove all the spider webs, from roof eves and sweep the parimeter as much as possible for a good application. Inside, I spray all baseboards, edges of walls to ceiling, door thresholds & sliding door, window tracks. I never have spider webs in or outside the house!! Yes, that means no spiders creeping on you while you sleep!! I usually do this every year around mid April. I have 2 big dogs and a small one & they have never gotten sick. Applying on the perimeter is very important basically where they don't have to walk on it. Hope this helps! Awesome product!

Been using Ortho Home Defense for many years to control house pests. I follow the instructions closely to spray correctly and at regular intervals. I've tried other products, including 'all natural, organic' concoctions, and they just don't work as well. When I spray for bugs, I want it to work, period. And this does.
Sprayer is junk after one use.

Can you check that the connector at the end of the hose is firmly attached to the cap? You should hear a distinct click when it is attached correctly. If you have a spout that the sprayer attaches to, make sure the spout is sticking straight up. If you have the twist cap where the sprayer hose snaps into the center of the cap, can you check that you turned the knob to the "ON" position. When fully in ON position, can feel the knob click and the arrow on the knob will point to "ON". Is the wand completely extended into the open position? Also potentially the sprayer may need to be reprimed, this can be done by placing the container above the wand by either holding it above or setting it on something and spraying for 30 seconds. We also suggest checking the nozzle is completely turned to one of the 3 positions. If it is in between settings, it will not work correctly. We want you to be confident in our products. For this reason, we offer a product guarantee. If for any reason you, the consumer, are not satisfied with the results after using this product, you are entitled to get your money back or a replacement wand. Limitations apply. I live in an older apartment building & would see the occasion roach. Since I have been using the spray for about 1 month, I'm happy to say that it took a few weeks but I haven't seen any in almost 2 weeks. It's brought me peace of mind.

I've sprayed the perimeter of my house even the roof and any holes where carpenter bees have ben entering my porch. They will not die. I've tried spraying the area once a month and this product isn't doing anything. This product is supposed to be applies once per season 🙄 😐

I’ve been using ortho for about three years now no fleas less spiders. I’ve recommended this product to several of my neighbors true story I went to go fix a stove for a friend of mine. Her house was infested with cockroaches. She asked me how to get rid of them. I brought over some ortho and about a week later she noticed the difference we sprayed again two weeks later mostly outside, she could not believe the results. She went out and bought a gallon. ive in an apartment that never previously had roach issues. I suspect a new neighbor brought them (or attracted) them through the walls. I bought the spectracide mistakenly and the roach I went on show down with just laughed at me while I sprayed it. Returned it and bought the ortho brand… 10/10! I went full Dexter watching it immediately kilt over. Probably not long term but it’ll do while I get maintenance to handle the vermin.

We had a spider issue becaude we have an old farmhouse. Since we started adding this to our spring time chores it has majorly decreased the number of critters.

Have purchases 2 of these with comfort wands and they simply don’t work after a couple of months. Instead of a consistent spray it just spurts out drops of liquid. Today I purchased another with the trigger spray to see if that is better.
