Ortho® Home Defense® Insect Killer for Indoor & Perimeter2 kills common household bugs such as ants, bees, beetles, centipedes, cockroaches, crickets, fleas, flies, millipedes, mosquitoes, moths, spiders, stink bugs, ticks, termites, periodical cicadas, and more (as listed). This insect killer creates a bug barrier of up to 12 months protection (against ants, roaches and spiders indoors on non-porous surfaces) to provide long-lasting results. In addition, the Invisi-Shield Technology formula gives off no fumes, dries clear, and dries fast. Use Ortho® Home Defense® Insect Killer for Indoor & Perimeter2 anytime as a preventative treatment or after you see evidence of insect activity for long lasting-control. Apply with confidence indoors (kitchens, bathrooms, doors and windows) and outdoors (perimeter of foundations, patios and decks, garages) wherever insects are a recurring problem. For indoor surfaces, hold sprayer 12 inches from surface being sprayed and apply a 4 inch wide band along the interior of the home in areas where insects are a recurring problem. Area should be sprayed until slightly wet without soaking. For perimeter treatment, also hold sprayer 12 inches from surface being sprayed and apply a 12-inch wide band along the exterior of the home.

A: Home Defense MAX Insect Killer for Indoor & Perimeter1 is intended to be used as a perimeter room treatment, not to be broadcast over large areas or entire carpets, rugs, etc. This product can be around baseboards in a kitchen, dining room, breakfast nook, etc. This product can be used under sinks or on water pipes. Do not use on faucets or inside sink.

A: Hello Elizabeth, Ortho Home Defense Insect Killer For Indoor & Perimeter2 Ready-to-Use kills the following Mites: Broad, Carmine, Chigger, Clover, European Red, Pecan Scorch, Spruce, Two Spotted Spider (Adult), and Two Spotted Spider (eggs). When used according to the label, this product poses no harm to pets. Pets such as dogs and cats, should stay out of the treated area until it is thoroughly dry. Drying can vary from 1-3 hours. If unsure if dry, wait 24 hours. No to be used on animals, but can be use on floor or floor coverings around pet bedding and resting spots. Bedding itself should be laundered or replaced with new once an area has been treated.

The first iteration of this insect killer was amazing. This one is awful, disappointing and frankly frustrating if you actually need the spray to do its job. I’m so disappointed and I’ll certainly find a different bug barrier to use.

This has been my go-to bug spray since moving to a big city and dealing with more bugs in my apartments! I love this one because the scent is minimal, it works quickly (especially for getting the creepy crawlers on the ceiling!!), and maybe most importantly, does not stain any of the walls or surfaces I’ve sprayed it on!

I do not have a dislike. It’s fast working, doesn’t have a strong smell. It’s also long range so if you’re scared of bugs and insects like me, you can stand about 2 feet away and aim and it’ll still get the job done.

I've only used this 'Ortho Home Defense MAX Indoor & Perimeter Insect Killer' once and it still worked the next day even after the solution dried up. I had an ant trail and a lot of flies in one of my rooms, so I sprayed this all over the ants and where the flies mainly stayed at. The next day, I saw a lot of flies drop dead mid-flying in the air. Also, there was no more ant trail. Yes, this works; and I highly recommend getting this product if you want to get rid of bugs and insects in your areas.

I don’t write reviews often, but this product WORKS! I wish I found it sooner. Had some ants outside my front door that were finding their way into my kitchen, sprayed the outside and haven’t seen any more since. But I’ve also been seeing a lot of spiders around my place lately, so I sprayed a few of the spots where I see them frequently since I had spray leftover and in 2 days I’ve been finding a handful of dead spiders. Big ones. I’m ecstatic not to have them running around anymore! My previous apartment had a spider problem with black widows and other spiders coming inside and I tried everything, pest company came out and sprayed multiple times and nothing worked. I wish I would have found this months ago! It will be my go to from now on!

I live in the desert so every summer I got ants and spiders. I sprayed this outside and it help so much. The only down side that as soon as it rained I found myself back outside spraying outside again. It’s as if water washes it away because after any rain the ants would be back.

I don't know. I didn't notice any difference in the critters we had crawling around. I used the entire bottle on our perimeter and a few weeks later I had to purchase something else to get the job done

A little goes a long way the bottle is good enough for a whole house in and out as well as for a deckhand round if needed. I spreader 1 round so far and all the ants stopped marching near my front door. There is barely any insects near the trash now awesome awesome product that works!!!

Barrier works great. After moving into my condo in March, I heard the complex has bug problems in the summer so I used this to spray around the doors and windows. Yesterday was our first hot day of summer. This morning I woke up to half a dozen dead roaches outside my front door. So thrilled those things didn't make it past the barrier
