Q: I don't see common house fly listed, yet a common house fly image is on the packaging. Does this work for a regular fly as well?

A: I got it for a common house fly problem and went to take it out of the plug disappointed it didn't work and to my surprise there were two flies on it so I left it and ended up catching five!

Q: How does this attract mosquitoes? With light? Does device attract clothing moths, those that destroy cotton, wool? Does this attrack, then trap insects in the sticky substance till they expire?

I plugged this bad boy in and when I got up the next morning, it had done its magic. And I couldn’t really tell until I looked in between the panels, so it’s nice that it conceals what it catches so you don’t have to look at the bugs or change the panel every time it catches something. Bonus point, it actually makes for a cool LED looking nightlight. It would be nice if it came in different colors, but I did like the blue. I didn’t notice any scent from it either, so that’s a plus.
Discreet and effective at blocking mosquitoes.

I plugged it into the kitchen near my fruit bowl, and I really can't see any mosquitoes flying around the fruit anymore. I like it because it's discreet and chemical-free, and the best part is that it's odorless. It's pet-friendly and safe for children, and you can place it in any room of the house. It's also easy to insert the adhesive refill cartridge into the base of the light trap. It also has a rotator and a bright blue light.

We've had two of these light traps. They work really well. However! Both of them had their lights burn out after almost exactly 1 year. Very wasteful to need to rebuy the bases every year.

This trap is easy to use, just plug it in and it will start working. It doesn’t have any smell or noise! The lights get the bugs to come to it and trap them with the sticky pad. And it works! It even trapped a spider!

You just plug this into any outlet. You do have to buy refills for it though. It uses a sticky refill cartridge that the bugs get stuck to.

It also hasn’t caught near as many flying critters as the competitor item does. I just don’t feel it works as well and I don’t love the setup of it

It’s fully portable and easy to understand how to use. The value for the money was impressive. It’s very effective and gets the job done. The durability and safety are great. The piece is reusable and the filter is replaceable so the impact on the environment is minimal since it works off of an electrical socket.

Comes with one refill and so easy to change this. Just slide a new refill in! Stays plugged in 24/7. This will be perfect for our new screened in porch we are building! The Flying Insect Light Fly Trap (starter kit shown) is another great way to take out flying insects without pesticides or smelly candles. Simply load the sticky pad refill and plug it in anywhere flying pests are a problem. I gave it one star off because if you have long haired pets they can get stuck to the pad if it's in reach. Really helps cut down on flies.

It caught maybe like two or three flies and was less effective than just using one of those fly tapes. It’s also much more expensive than the fly tapes and requires expensive refills. I personally would not recommend this purchase again.
