Q: I don't see common house fly listed, yet a common house fly image is on the packaging. Does this work for a regular fly as well?

A: I got it for a common house fly problem and went to take it out of the plug disappointed it didn't work and to my surprise there were two flies on it so I left it and ended up catching five!

Doesn’t work the best- only caught 1 a day but a cup of vinegar with a drop of soap and covered with tin foil with tiny holes in it does way better job. Bonus if you put a sticky trap but the cup. But overall, it does not seem like the gnats are attracted to the light

The device has failed to catch any of these annoying flies in our kitchen. We’ve had it for a week and there’s been nothing killed. We’ve had more success with our fly swatter. Oh well

I am posting this review as a rebuttal of low reviews saying this doesn't work to trap flying insects. I leave my back door open quite a bit for my dogs in the daytime when weather permits. This leads to occasional flying insects like flies, skeeters, and smaller critters around the house. I put this gadget in my office as I work from home and it works like a charm. Attached pictures are from two weeks of use. Will continue to use this product, may get one for bedroom as well.

I bought my first one at least a year ago and it works great. I just bought a second one for a different room. In my opinion it works best if you turn off all other lights at night so the flies and gnats will go to this light. As others have stated, it isn’t really a refill. It comes with one device and one cartridge as the box says. Labeling it as a refill (which Target has done) is misleading.

Box is labeled that it has a refill which it does not. It just come with the one initial strip. Regarding the strip, its extremely difficult to get the covering on the strip off without removing the sticky stuff.

I put the stem flying insect light trap right above it and wow what a difference. Yaaaaay. Those things were getting so annoying. So happy to find something that finally works. This is a new need always in my house. Atleast for as long as my son is in diapers.

Garbage. This is a double sided glue board with a blue nightlight. I’d be okay with it if it actually worked. Going on 2 weeks, not one gnat/fruit fly caught, yet they still fly around my home and just mock me. Save your money. Looks like the vinegar/dish soap concoction is the best.

From having fresh fruit on the kitchen table to having cookouts. This has cut down on the fly situation. The kids opening and closing the door, some always manage to creep inside.
