STEM Flying Insect Light Trap is an easy, mess-free option for attracting and trapping a variety of flying insects like house flies, fruit flies, gnats, mosquitoes, and moths. Use this discreetly-designed flying insect trap in any indoor room where insects are present, especially around fruit, trash cans, garages and entryways. Enjoy the odor-free, soft blue light technology that traps insects with no chemical insecticides. We crafted our moth and mosquito trap to be people, plant, and pet-friendly* for 24/7 continuous attraction. It’s easy to use and install. Simply remove protective peels, insert the dual-sided adhesive cartridge into the flying insect trap base, plug in to the wall, and position using the customizable 90-degree rotating plug and leave on 24/7. No need to touch any bugs or get your hands sticky. Replace the cartridge every month or when cartridge is full of bugs. This bug trap is compatible with Raid Essentials light trap refills as well. *when used as directed

DIRECTIONS FOR USE: Use in any room where you see flying insects. For household use only. 1 - Remove the protective peels on both sides of the refill. 2 - Insert the refill into the device base. 3-Plug the trap into a wall socket near common insect hangouts. The trap should be positioned UPRIGHT. When blue light is on, it starts to work. 4. Keep the trap plugged in 24/7. When full, unplug the trap and replace with a new refill. FOR BEST RESULTS: Place traps in areas with heavy flying insect activity and keep plugged in 24/7. Replace cartridge when it’s full of insects. Check refill often and dispose of it when the cartridge is full of insects. Replace refill every month for best performance.

Q: There are two stem devices that look identical to me and have the same box but one is 19.99 and this one is 17.79 what is the difference? They both say they contain the device plus one refill. They have identical product boxes so I’m a bit confused.

    Expensive night light

    Does nothing! This I set up in the kitchen right by the sink, does absolutely nothing been up a week and caught ZERO fruit flies they fly past like nothing! Waste of money.

    Fly swatter is better!

    I plugged this in my kitchen for about a week and it only catches two fruit flies while my home have more house flies problem. My kitchen have house flies flying around and none goes to this stuff, even I placed old food and bowl of red wine vinegar next to it. This is a fool product, just a sticky card and light, nothing else. Fly swatter is much more effective and you better off with a fly swatter!

    User Error for some of you

    You need to put it in the right place. Try a few different locations. For me, I get best results in the kitchen and I get lots of flys stuck on there after only a few hours of setting it up. If you’re not seeing good results, you need to try a new location.

    Doesn't work!

    I would give 0 stars if i could. Fruit flies are thick in my house and this doesn’t work. It uses electricity and basically is just a glaring blue light that bothers my eyes and increases my electricity bill.

    Good for gnats but not mosquitoes

    Bought due to the high mosquito activity in the area. Works great at catching other flying bugs but zero mosquitoes were attracted to it. I had to take care of the mosquitoes in the house by smacking them with my hands. If you have gnats issues may work better for those bugs. The light is extremely Bright. I placed it in the living room since it didn't benefit me in the bedroom when trying to catch the evil mosquito after three days of trying.

    Pet Owners Beware

    This brand promotes this is pet friendly if used as directed. It is absolutely NOT. I am making this post to spare pet owners something horrible happening to your babies. I had purchased five of the stem plug ins to deal with no see ums and fruit flies. However, last night, my one yr old cat, Binx, was playing with his toy, close to one of the Stem Insect traps that were plugged in and it got stuck to his tail!!! He was so freaked out, running and hiding. When we finally were able to catch him, it had gotten stuck to his tail and his back leg. Thank goodness we were home!! We couldn't even pull the glue trap off his tail. We had to cut it off. Then, we had to cut off a lot of his fur on his tail because the glue wouldn't come off and use olive oil to remove the glue from his back leg. Poor sweet Binx was traumatized and scared the rest of the night. I don't want to imagine what would have happened if I wasnt home and he tried to lick the glue trap off his tail and leg, or even just the glue. We removed all of these traps from the house immediately after this happened. These are NOT safe if you have pets.
