A: Hi. Thanks for reaching out to us regarding our Orville Redenbachers Movie Theater Butter Popcorn. The main reason for this is that when a bag is popped, some of the oil and flavorings tend to stick to the bag rather than stay with the rest of the popcorn. Since this is higher in calories than the popcorn itself, it means that the popcorn that comes out of the bag will typically end up being slightly less in calories than the unpopped bag. A: Hi Jennifer. Thank you for your interest in our Orville Redenbachers Naturals Simply Salted Microwave Popcorn. Our microwave popcorn bags do have a plastic liner to prevent the oil from leaking out of the bag. The plastic does not contain intentionally added PFAS which is a common packaging chemical banned in several states. The box boasts “no artificial preservatives, flavors, or dyes.” Nothing to lead one to believe it contains ARTIFICIAL SWEETENER. Who expects Sucralose in popcorn? I am allergic to Sucralose. One bite and my tongue began to swell. My husband thought the flavor of the artificial sweetener was overwhelming. Never again!

I love this popcorn. I always buy the package of twelve with the extra butter. The last box I purchased only half the the bag popped this happened to six out of twelve packages. I will not quit buying it. I was curious what could be the problem

I wish I could give this a zero rating. It is so awful we tossed the first and only batch we made in the trash! The packaging states there are no artificial ingredients but the overwhelming flavor is the artificial sugar that is used! Total waste of money and I unfortunately bought the large size

Currently in my pantry. A staple in every home. Personally I eat popcorn every night as my after dinner snack. It’s not too heavy but still flavorful! My favorite way to eat it is with… jalapeño powder. The perfect spicy buttery snack. Thank you for being delicious every time!

I love to make my own honey and salted popcorn at home so I figured why not try it from a bag. One evening my girlfriend popped a bag and ate most of it. Thought nothing of it until the next day her stomach hurt so badly she had to call out of work. Pepto wouldn't fix it so she had to go to the pharmacy and get a special prescription. We pored over everything she'd eaten but popcorn isn't an unusual snack so we didn't blame this popcorn at first. Anyways, fast forward a week and we pop another bag and share it more equally this time. Within hours the girlfriend is laid out on the couch like a dying Victorian waif with tummy aches. Not only that, but as I took part in greater quantity this time around, I was also not free from side effects. it's 10 am the next morning and excessive flatulence has only just started to peter off. Friends, I woke up five times during the night to let a massive pressure spike rip. I have been taking regular bathroom trips just to spare my office mates the awful sound. Please learn a lesson from us and don't buy this popcorn.

This used to be CONSISTENTLY INCREDIBLE with every popped bag. Recently, it was like every other bag was good and the others were almost flavorless. Now, it’s RARE if I come across a bag that is just right on par with their baseline. If this lack of flavor is their new baseline for the kettle corn recipe that obviously didn’t need to be changed, then I’m dropping this like a hot potato and moving on (to a different brand). My motto is do not fix things that aren’t broken. You clearly didn’t consult with your customers before making the change to the recipe. It tastes like you cut way back on the flavoring this time, maybe to save a buck or two? You can save your money, I’ll save mine too and go elsewhere.

I bought the mini bags. The first bag I put in the microwave popped maybe half the bag and burned the rest. I always follow directions to a tee. The second bag that I tried to pop tonight only popped a quarter of the bag and the rest were kernel’s. I am very disappointed and most likely will no longer be buying Orville Redenbacher in the future.

I purchased this product because I generally enjoy the Orville Redenbacher's products. I was disappointed because of the 12 bags in the box 4 had no popcorn kernels in them. The ones that did popped well and I enjoyed. Waiting to see how many in the second box are in the same condition.

The amount of popcorn shells compared to Jolytime is UNREAL. I had to spit out so many shells. Jollytime only has some at the end. Very disappointing for this old brand :(

The bags leak during popping, butter all over the inside of microwave & outside of popcorn bag. The bags get so crispy I am afraid they may start on fire, yet they won't open easily. I had to use scissors to open. The butter tasted bad, like a chemical artificial bad taste. I've usually liked Orville Redenbacher, but I'll never buy these again. Good idea, bad product.

Just read another review that said this popcorn was sparking in their microwave. The first time happened to our young daughter and fortunately we were home, the bag actually caught fire! Decided to test if it was the popcorn or the micro, and every bag of popcorn sparks!
