Fits my new phone fine but there's no screen protector. For an Otterbox product (and the price) I'd assumed there would be. Will be returning; there are cheaper options out there that include that needed piece.

And, unfortunately, we do not currently have any glass screen protectors for the moto g play (2021) that could be added to the mix. I have thoroughly tested this Commuter case. I had carelessly left my phone on the hood of my car. As I accelerated to merge onto the highway, I saw and heard my phone flip up against the windshield and over the top of the car. I was doing about 45-50 mph when it took off. It must have slid at least 150 feet. I finally found it about 50 feet in front of where I had stopped the car. As evidenced in the attached photo, there is only the slightest of marring on the back of the case and the glass was intact. Thanks Otter for saving my bacon.

I mainly bought this case to keep my slender phone protected from drops it otherwise may not survive. That works so far. I would give it five stars except the case is slippery and slides off of everything, which doesn't help prevent drops. If the case had even some texture, it may be less slippery. At least it can survive the drops.

I bought this before had surgery and rehab but it doesn't have the thumb print opening for me to use it. I also wanted a belt clip to wear as I had before. The quality, is topnotch but this isnt what I wanted.

I liked it so much, I bought it twice. The first one disappeared from my mailbox before I could see it, so I ordered another one and had it shipped in a more secure way. I have now been able to drop the phone and shove it in my pockets without a worry.

I recently purchased a new phone and wanted a good case to protect it. I spent quite some time inspecting merchandise being sold on the internet. A friend of mine suggested the otterbox. I was able to check out his case and I found it to be very nice so ordered one on line. I'm very happy with the purchase. These cases are not made out of flimsy material. They fit solidly on the phone and all the cut outs are done very well. I'm very happy with this purchase and can't imagine anyone being disappointed with the product.

Defender series feels like more protection and additionally has more rubberized material on the side which makes it easy to prop on the side and the rubber keeps it from sliding and holding it upright. The commuter series has less rubber on the sides so it's basically impossible to set the phone down on it's side and prop it up on anything to watch a video for example. It's an ok design but I would much prefer more exposed rubber as opposed to the hard plastic shell that covers the rubber material.

The openings at the top of the case does NOT match, as in are not aligned with the openings in the phone. To use the headphone jack, the case must be removed. The power button is difficult to use, requires a very firm "push" to activate. The case has a good "feel" about it, when holding the phone, it feels secure in my hand, not likely to slip from my grip.

Since that device has a different design than other moto g devices, the case for it will not be compatible with any device other than the moto g play (2021). I buy OtterBox for all of my phones. I also buy OtterBox for my partner's phones. OtterBox today is the only phone protector that I trust from experience thus far. I tend to drop my phone a lot and my phone's are in the same condition is when I first bought them after putting them in this case. Results May vary for some other people but I've never had a problem with them personally.
