This case gives great protection to the phone. It is solid and the belt holster works very well. The downside is that the thickness of the protection makes the phone with the case installed much bigger and bulkier. I will take the bulk for the protection.

The case is fantastic! It fits my phone snuggly and protects it very well; I dropped my phone the day after putting the case on - no damage. The belt clip it came with? Not so much - the spring stuck and it's useless already.

The OTTERBOX DEFENDER is my choice for protection. It’s a strong heavy duty case that has a ridged hand plastic case the phone is cradled in. Then it’s wrapped again in rubber case. Then a belt clip that makes my phone a quick acces from my side. I’m a project superintendent, and my phone is my number one tool.

I can add pictures later(they need to be taken with another device); however, the main concern is the rubber and plastic frame. My outer rubberized case is becoming stretched and loose, the plastic frame dose not prevent dust and sand from rubbing the aluminum portions of my phones body. Even with weekly cleanings my phone is heavily scratched in some sections back to bare metal, this will result in lowered exchange value. High point this case did prevent glass damage upon drop, but DO NOT use the clip, its too bulky and my screen got scratched due to placement outside of my pocket.

I haven't holstered it correctly a few times but only 1 time where the Defender saved my device! Had to hurry across Church parking lot & it popped out but there was a car...phone w/ Defender landed screen down on pavement & 1 tire drove over my phone! Case got a little dirty, screen!!!Not a scratch, nada, zilch :-O! Phone haven't had any problems whatsoever!

Im a big fan of OB BUT there are scratches all over the frame of my phone and the back screen is broken.looking at other reviews i see that there are loose parts on the case which can cause sand build up or any type of dirt. I wasn't expecting to see my phone like this when i took it out of the case. Completely disappointed in OB. Only good thing coming out of this is my front screen is completely fine but the rest of the phone isn't.

I have used a n Otterbox Defender on my phones for years. The are very tough and protects phone from accidental drops due to the flexible but rugged rubber case. Love the belt clip as well. Wish they came with a screen protector.

Great protection and gives you versatility to cover the side with the lenses or the phone side when using. Wish it had a bit more depth like the Defender Pro as the Pro is not available in Canada.
