Q: How many inches from the floor to that first support bar on the very bottom of the shelf?

A: The first support bar is only 3" from the floor. You'll have to screw in this bottom support bar AFTER you put the unit behind your toilet. Otherwise, you won't clear the plumbing.

I wanted to love this item. However, upon opening the box, the poor quality of metal used and flimsiness was apparent. I ignored these initial observations and decided to assemble it. I then noticed the poor quality welds, connecting joints that didn’t even line up, and silver screws to assemble it (it’s BLACK). I know this isn’t top of the line, but I expect better for the cost of $40-$50 per piece. You have done and can do better Target! I know because I own a lot of your items. Please get it together or sell this for $20 because that’s what this is actually worth (if that).

Extremely poor quality and bad design
I would NOT recommend this over-the-toilet shelf. Note: In the photos, my shelves are orange because I spray painted them. They were originally aluminum gray. ** Poor Quality ** As you can see, the metal is so thin you can bend the slats simply by pushing down on them with a finger. I do not have high hopes for the durability of this thing. It doesn't take much weight to topple it over. Anchoring it to the wall is not optional. You must have a stud finder and a drill to install this. ** Bad Design ** The slats themselves are problematic because bottles and things have to precariously balance on them. Worse yet, each slat is slightly beveled. The round edges encourage objects to tip over. Unless you just plan to store large, lightweight objects like toilet paper, you'll have to put wood or trays or something on these shelves so typical bathroom items don't topple over. ** Conclusion ** The value of this product is extremely low for the price.

Terrible
This really is garbage, half of the holes in top frame were damaged and you are not able to connect shelves with Hex Bolts to frame. I can not believe a company is able to get away selling garbage like this.

Looked nice but poor assembly quality
I was trying to elevate my bathroom space and saw this over the toilet storage, thought it would look nice. The item arrived quickly and all the pieces were there. As I started putting it together, I noticed that it was a lot more difficult than it should have been. Several of the holes either were not drilled in deep enough or did not align. I got the whole thing out together but had to leave out two screws because they didn't line up. I also had to some limber allen wrench work to get the rack behind the toilet because I didn't have the tools to disconnect the water line. Unfortunately I had to return this item because the middle shelf wonky due to not having all four support screws.

Dont waste your money, time, or sanity.
I would give it negative stars if I could. This has got to be one of the biggest pieces of crap I’ve ever purchased from target. I cannot stress enough to have nobody ever buy this. $50 for nothing but stress and disappointment. Let me count the ways: - All but 1 of the drywall anchors broke, and now I need to patch my wall. - 2 of the drywall screws threads were borked and they wouldn’t have been able to screw in even if they drywall anchor werent already broken. - Most holes weren’t drilled properly - Most screws didn’t screw properly - The Allen key had rounded edges and didn’t work - The screws were pre-stripped I can comfortably say I haven’t purchased anything that was this low quality from Target maybe ever. I’m shocked.

Not sure why this got so many bad reviews. I think there were a could struggles with putting it together, but that was also partly me not paying attention to the directions. As far as being sturdy, I think it holds up well. I have 2 and ordered a third. I have 4 kids and they told up all to them. The bar behind the toilet I just needed to leave detached on one side and then put the shelf into place then attach it. Not hard. Maybe annoying. I like the simple sleek design. I've bought all of mine on sale. I think the $50 is a little steep. Buying on sale is totally worth it though. 🤷🏼♀️

DO NOT BUY
If I could give it less than one star, I would. Screws cam pre-stripped. Screw holes were off center and wouldn’t accept screws. Bottom bar meant it wouldn’t fit between the toilet and the wall. Ended up saying to hell with it and throwing the thing in the trash because I foolishly discarded the box before putting it together. Don’t waste your time, money or curse words.

Absolutely awful
I have never bothered to leave a negative review on anything before but I'm so annoyed with this item that it's broken me. Terrible construction, the metal is cheap and most of the pieces were bent out of shape so i had to really work to screw anything together. And on top of that, some of the holes are several millimeters out of place making it impossible to fit together even if the pieces weren't warped. When I was done assembling, I had to take off the bottom bar to fit under the water hookup, which I'm assuming is the case for 99% of toilets, but the instructions failed to mention. And after fighting with the piece to get it together for an hour, it wobbles like crazy and looks terrible. I knew it was cheap and ugly but I hoped it would at least be functional - waste of my time and money, the only nice thing I have to say about it is that it'll be easy to take apart and get rid of once I find something nicer.
