A: The straw can be removed for cleaning. The cup is dishwasher safe, but hand washing is recommended to preserve the finish of the bottle. Grab yourself a cheap bottle boot for this (to protect from dents when dropped) and you have the best water bottle around! The new handle is awesome and no other bottle lives up to the solid sip/chug spout of Owala. There are very few pieces that can get moldy like other water bottles. I’ve cheaped out before and got something else I regretted—this one is perfect!

I own several other Owala water bottles but was really excited that this one had the flat sides for easy grip and that it fits into my car cup holders! Love the easy carry handle and lock as well. The only negative is the insulation. The ice melts in less than a day in the Swag, but it lasts for way more than a day in my other Owala water bottles. A bummer, but not a deal breaker for me - I just add more ice and refill my water more often so I have cold water. But wanted to make note of this for other potential buyers and so Owala knows to fix this issue for the Sway in the future.

Such great features! Love the lockable pop top with built in dual purpose straw/chug spout. This 32 oz is a little wide for my hand but the functionality outweighs that. I bought this after reading a post by a Disney influencer and glad I did. I think I may purchase additional bottles for my office, the gym and as gifts :)

This water bottle has become my daily water bottle. Huge fan of Owala and the fact that this fits in a cup holder is probably one of the best selling points. Lid also locks so if it gets knocked over you don’t have to worry about the lid popping open.

While I love the nice upgrades with the handle, it fitting in a cup holder & the lock… it just doesn’t seem to keep my ice cold for as long as the old bottle.. I used to have ice in my old bottle for easily 32 hours and my water would be cold for days!! With this new bottle, I’m lucky to still have ice 24 hours after and some times my water would be warm by next day.. I’ll be returning & going back to my trusty old style.
