Needs an external monitor. If I need to check on my daughter in the middle of the night, having to grab my phone and open the app is a longer process than needed. I have 2 cameras in my daughter’s room. One connected to an external device and the other with the Owlet. For such a pricey item, I would think that even a Google or Alexa integration would be worth it, but with the lack of integrations, having to pay for additional services, and no external monitor, I cannot in good conscience recommend this product to anyone. Even the sock that we have, we ended up having to stop using it after a week due to false alarms. Also, the reason for the need for an external monitor is because WiFi is not always the most reliable depending on the area and carrier, so if the WiFi goes out, you no longer have a monitor. On a positive note though, having a camera that I can pull up on my phone is nice. Having only access to pull it up on my phone isn’t. Thank you.

The base range is minimal. We live in an apartment and if I take my baby to the kitchen or livingroom the alarm goes off due to bad connection.

The camera is great, love that part. The sock however is basically useless. We got this when we moved our son to his crib, and I thought it would help with the anxiety of SIDS. The sock hardly ever connects to the base station and instead of giving me peace of mind to sleep, it is waking me up in a panic thinking my son isn’t breathing when in reality the sock had again, lost connection. In my personal option the sock is the biggest waste of money and more anxiety inducing for a new mother. The camera however, is great!

It has cord covers to place on wall that eliminate hanging cords. The size of the camera is great. The sock helps monitor basic vitals which is so helpful when baby is not feeling well. It’s an extra set of eyes for you. The monitor can be set up to notify of various alerts too.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Our baby was in the NICU for 4 days after being born preterm at 34 weeks and 2 days. The Owlet provides peace of mind now that we are home. The sock is similar to the NICU sock monitor because it provides data on your baby’s vitals. For a NICU parent, this brought comfort when we came home. We used a command strip and move the camera from h side room to our room, and even the living room. It is durable and we’ve had no issues with it. It’s built with the best technology in mind.

I am a FTM and bought this for my baby. The owlet sock is wonderful, but the owlet camera is HORRIBLE! Not a day goes by that we don’t have some sort of problem with it. We have excellent wifi, but constantly experience lagging if we have the video quality high. Sometimes the screen blacks out, so it doesn’t show anything. Or it just randomly decides to say it isn’t connected to wifi. Save yourself some money and buy a non-wifi monitor.

As soon as I connected my camera the sock stopped appearing on the app… i’ve contacted support and it’s been no help! I spoke to someone and they stated that whoever needs to be helping me is in a meeting and should call me back right away. I still haven’t received a call back and my sock has now went about five days without working. The system is like $400 and I cannot get it to work. I bought this system for peace of mind, but it’s useless when it won’t connect.

We’ve been using the Owlet Dream Duo with our baby and it’s honestly brought me so much peace of mind at night. Being able to check the Dream Sock and quickly peek at the Dream Sight camera without going into her room has helped me relax so much more instead of constantly wondering if everything is okay. The setup was easy, the app is simple to use, and it’s just naturally become part of our bedtime routine. As a mom, anything that helps me feel calmer and more confident at night is such a win, and I’m really grateful we have the Dream Duo.

It gives use a sense of relief when our baby is asleep knowing he is being monitored and if anything is wrong we will be alerted. Sock is very easy to put on baby and it does not bother him at all. It is also veybeasy to travel with since in is vey light weight. Camera works very good as well, great video quality and night vision. I do wish there was on option to change notification sound when there is movement or noise detected.

This duo does so much more than just keep an eye on your baby. This Smart Camera with the sock and the application on your smartphone is an all-in-one safety solution that gives you peace of mind. What’s in the box: Owlet Dream Sight Smart Camera, Dream Sock Sensor, 4 Socks, Base, Wall Mounting Kit with cord covers. Setup: Setup was easy for the most part. I had to download the Owlet Dream App, which is free, and connect the camera by following the steps. I had a little difficulty with getting it connected at first, because I had to adjust my WiFi settings. Once I fixed my settings, everything was a breeze. The camera: The picture quality is fantastic. The sound is pretty good too. The con with the camera is that it is fixed and doesn’t rotate or anything. I would have liked to had it rotate with movement be able to move it left to right with the app. The audio on the camera is 2-way. It has good night vision on it too. The camera picks up noise and movement so you can get alerts when the baby moves or cries. The health monitoring features: This device is an FDA cleared medical tracking device, and justly so. The Dream Sock can track both pulse rate and oxygen levels while the baby is sleeping. If the number go out of range, an alert is sent to your phone. The room temperature and humidity levels are also tracked and you will be notified of it reaches levels you set up in the app. Sleep patterns for the baby are tracked so that you can use that information to help make a schedule for your baby. This really is a great smart baby monitor. The camera; sock, and app are designed to help you keep your baby safe and healthy. It’s really small and portable too, so you can easily take it to grandmas house or to the baby sitters if needed.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Let's start with the camera, it's really good, picks up a lot of noise even the microwave in the kitchen beeping and little noises in the next room. It doesn't take much light for it to turn back into color from night vision. The notifications are a bit much, picks up sneezes and laughs from adults as cries and his actual cries as noise. Also when it turns from normal to night vision, it does a motion detected notification which the first night truly freaked us out because we weren't home at the time and thought it caught someone in our house. Now for the sock, it's not as good as the price of it would suggest. When setting it up, it says put the base somewhere where you'll hear it because it's meant to wake you up when your baby needs you. Well let's just say it goes off, but only when you leave the house with it or the battery is dying. When you leave with it, there's no way to turn it off, both in your phone or the base so expect a notification every minute you can swipe away and turn off but only for a minute because it's going off again. And sometimes it says he's awake when he's snoring. And says he wakes up multiple times a night but there's no notifications about movements or noise at the same time so I'm not sure why it thinks he's awake. I cannot make a statement about a medical alert such as the heart rate or the oxygen because we haven't had any events for those so get a notification for.

I was a little intimidated opening the box as it seemed there were a lot of pieces in the various boxes. However once I started looking at them it was easy to set up. The app installed flawlessly and I was able to pull the images up immediately. The app is easy to understand and set up. I decided to use it to monitor my litter of puppies until my son is born. The pictures are clear. It shows me the room temperature. The Dream sock along with the use of the app and base station will give me the piece of mind I need to ensure my sons well being while he sleeps. It will give me his heart rate and oxygenation along with movements. If anything falls out of the normal range the base station will send an alert. That along with the video monitor will allow me to always have my eyes on him and know he is good. Until he is born, I'll continue to use the monitor to keep track of my litter of puppies!

The setup is very straightforward and the app is super easy to use, I love the confidence of having it on my phone. The camera is crisp and clear as well. I was pleasantly surprised at how soft and non intrusive the sock is. Baby didn’t seem to mind at all. All the data it takes seems to be very accurate and it’s fun being able to look at babies sleep patterns over time. A bit pricey but worth having that extra peace of mind for sure.

It does give anxious parents peace of mind (especially for newborns) as it sends notifications about vitals to your phone. The camera and sock were easy enough to set up, but we did run into a bit of an issue while trying to connect to WiFi. It sees to work with android but we couldn’t get it to connect with an iPhone. Other than that, this is perfect.

This is an all in one monitoring system that sends prompt alerts when things aren’t as they should be. The packaging was very appealing, easy to read and to use. The only issue I encountered with this product were some connectivity issues between the sock and the base. Otherwise, it is a very helpful tool to ensure your child’s safety during sleep. The price point for this product is exactly where I expected it to be, it’s a bit pricier than others but worth it all day (and night) long for the safety alerts. The first time I woke up to an alert, I knew it was worth the money. My sons oxygen was at 70% - I woke him up and he was fine - however, I don’t know how things would’ve been different if he wasn’t wearing the monitoring sock and I didn’t get an alert to go check on him. Makes a perfect gift for any parent!

I was pleasantly suprised to see everything was well thought out and all the necessary items for mounting the camera and hiding/protecting baby from cords were included. I also love that you get different size socks and both l/r to help protect babies skin and keep the device usable longer. There are also plenty of video and picture instructions on the app to help with installation, mounting, use and care. Camera: We have 3 kids (ages 5, 2 and 2 months). We didnt mount the camera due to wanting to be able to move it between rooms. We have mostly been using it for our oldest two since our youngest still sleeps in our room. The camera picks up on noise and crys really well but you can tell it was designed to be pointing in a crib for a baby who isn't going to go anywhere because even with motion set on high it often doesnt pick up on motion unless its happening for awhile. My oldest sleep walks and she can get clear across the room and out the door without setting it off. The clarity on the camera itself is excellent, even in the dark. And it can see a wide range (our old camera has a very small field of vision and was a real challenge to line up. We could only point it to see one child but with this camera we can see the whole room). Its easy to zoom in and out which is nice. I like that you can opt to have clips taken so I can check back on footage (which has been helpful to see whats going on with my older 2 when they're battling bed time). I appreciate you don't have to have a subscription and can see check back on the clips for a reasonable time. I don't love that its through wifi, that always makes me nervous. Also if your wifi isnt reliable then you could have interuptions to your feed/alerts. Another thing I dont like is that there isn't a way (other than unplugging) to turn the camera off between use. (Or atleast not a way I could find) I dont want to leave the camera on 24/7 and unplugging it all the time is annoying. The plugs/bricks are fairly slim which I appreciate but I would love to see them even more compact to be able to easily fit behind furniture or be more discrete. Sock: as mentioned I appreicate the different sizes and having a right and left. I switch mine every few days just to be extra safe and try to wipe them down once a week or so. I haven't noticed any irritation at all. To my suprise, my baby doesnt seem to mind the sock at all and it stays on well (even when she wakes up and kicks). Its easy enough to pop on the charger (My 5 year old loves to help with this) ad easy to switch between socks. Thankfully i have not had any concerning alerts only occasional difficulty reading and one baby may need help to settle. I appreciate the extra peace of mind it gives me knowing id be alerted or woken up if something was wrong. This has made taking showers and sleeping a lot easier and more relaxing. Overall I would recommend simply for the peace of mind and ease of use.
