OXO Steel Vertical Lever Corkscrew

I was getting tired of using the old fashioned manual cork remover so I thought I’d see what the internet had to offer. I came across this lever one by OXO. I love almost every OXO product I have purchased, so I was pretty confident this would be worth trying as well. I was not disappointed! It has a built in foil cutter, which I greatly appreciate, removes the cork with ease, and pops the cork out for disposal. Add that it takes up a very small footprint ( it stand up by itself) and it is perfect for my needs. And fun 😃

I’ve used a lot of corkscrews over the years, but the OXO Vertical Lever Corkscrew is easily one of the most reliable and user-friendly ones I’ve owned. The vertical lever design makes opening a bottle effortless—just place it on the bottle, pull the lever down, and lift it back up. The cork comes out smoothly every time with almost no effort. It feels sturdy and well-built, with a comfortable grip and solid construction that gives you confidence it will last. I also like that it works just as well on both natural and synthetic corks. If you want a wine opener that’s simple, efficient, and consistently dependable, this one is an excellent choice.

OXO has very well designed, quality products and they definitely stand behind them. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is well designed and well made. Getting the foil off with the built-in foil cutter is easy and convenient. Opening the bottle is quick and requires minimal effort. The lever action corkscrew penetrates the cork quickly and lifting the lever pulls the cork completely out (unless it’s a very long cork where you will have to wiggle the end of the cork out. ) Repeating the action ejects the cork. The coating on the screw eventually wears off and you have to replace it with the included replacement screw. Very well designed and very well made. Works better than other lever corkscrews.

Worked once or twice - now it pushes the cork into the bottle all the time!

It looks great. However, your old equipment is still working. Therefore I will use it when that one breaks down.

So much easier than a traditional wine bottle opener! My hands are arthritic and not having to twist them opening the bottle is a huge benefit
