OXO Softworks Corkscrew

Surprised by how poorly made this OXO wine opener is. The arms end in narrow points so it hurts your palms to push down. The plastic feels very flimsy and cheap. Not at all what I’d expect from this brand. I threw away the packaging before I had a chance to test this out so I can’t return it. Will be looking for something else to replace.

For the price it’s not a terrible corkscrew. However it’s not the easiest to use and corks often break in half because the screw doesn’t go far enough into the bottle. Would keep looking if you’re searching for something that works well.

Works as expected, does not feel as sturdy as I would like, but it has not broken or failed me!

Nice corkscrew easy to use! Buy it right or buy it twice. It’s worth to splurge on this rather than a waiters corkscrew.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The look/feel is sleek and modern. I didn’t have an issue using this product. It was sturdy and easy to position. I didn’t have any issues popping off the cork. The metal park is still good after washes. Really have enjoyed using this overall.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have to say I was skeptical due to the fact I am used to oxo having a reputation for being very durable. This seemed like it wasn''t quite as "hefty" as their other products. However, it worked great! I didn't have to use a ton of force to get the corkscrew to get the cork out. The corkscrew itself was rather sharp and seemed to have no issues going into the cork. I use this foe more than just wine. It works great with olive oil bottles as well. I am not sure it will last forever but I know as long as it does it will do a great job.

This corkscrew was easy to use, had a comfortable grip, and removed the cork with ease. It is easy enough for me to use on my own. It seems pretty durable, so I am hoping it will last a long time, as we do not use corkscrews too often.

My better half, who typically has me open a new bottle loves it too as they are able to successfully open a new bottle too!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The OXO Softworks Corkscrew is great. It opens cork topped bottles so easy. The screw glides smoothly into the cork. I love that it has a non - slip grip which is comfortable to use. This definitely takes the strain off of your hands. You could use this product on anything that needs to be uncorked. I would highly recommend!

It is easy to store, and doesn't take up much room. The mechanism requires you to position the screw above the cork and then simply turn the knob on the top. The process is intuitive and the results are always consistent. I highly recommend!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The OKO SW Corkscrew gets the job does. Everyone says it's easy to use. There's no pulling your arm out of the socket to get the cork out. As with all handheld utensils the quality will speak for it self once it's used over and over.

Easily allows for a simple cork removal without breaking it. Wings fold down on sides nicely to assist with guiding and holding onto the bottle.

For whatever reason this opener doesn’t work well. It doesn’t seem to get down to the cork enough and always requires extra work to pull it out. Going back to the simpler waiters opener. Kind of disappointed because OXO always seems to make good products.
