The Houdini Winged Corkscrew was designed to overcome problems in the operation of conventional wing corkscrews. It clamps stably on the top of a wine bottle, which makes it easy to insert spiral into the cork. The non-stick spiral penetrates cleanly, so the cork will not crumble as often happens with ordinary wing corkscrew.

It works fine, but the entire reason I bought this one over another was that it’s titled as a dishwasher safe corkscrew, but right on the back of the package it says to hand wash only. So that’s annoying.

Broke after just a few uses!
I only used this wine opener a handful of times and it already broke. The pin holding the corkscrew in broke and the whole thing came apart. See photos.

Received refund for faulty construction
Missing a pin or part to keep in place. Target was kind enough to refund. Do not recommend- quality not worth price. I have bought cheaper ones that have lasted 10 years.

Hard to remove cork from shaft
The cork is near impossible to remove. While it does a great job in opening the wine with ease, better than most winged corkscrews. I will return it or google how to remove the cork.

Look for another option
I would NOT recommend this product and if I could return it, I would.
It is very bulky and it makes it unwieldy. Also, the shaft in the middle is too short so taking out the cork is really hard. Also, because the shat is too short you can not use as a foil cutter.
If the company would correct these flaws, it would work great.
