Beautiful Home Office Piece
This filing cabinet is super sturdy, functional and beautiful all at the same time. We added it to our home office and got rid of the ugly metal filing cabinets and it was the best choice ever. There is more than enough room to file our important papers and room leftover. The quality is far above what we expected and the drawers flow smoothly in and out. The only con of this piece was the amount of time it took to assemble. There were many part and if you're not super handy, it could be a little challenging. Otherwise, We highly recommend!

Pretty
I like how it looks in my family room. I use as a file cabinet and for storage. My husband is an accomplished carpenter and has put together many pieces of furniture as this. The problem I have is the drawers fit together on the right side but has a not quite 1/4 inch gap on the left. Apparently the predrilled hole did not line up. We also had problems with safety feature. The bottom drawer would not open even with the top completely closed. We finally took the top drawer out so we could get the bottom drawer out. And just removed the safety device.

Great caninet
Instructions were very good. My only suggestion would be to mark the drawer side panels to approximate the location for the plastic slides to show position of the screw holes on the back of drawer panel. It was a challenge to adjust those plastic slides. But everything thing else was great. Very satisfied!

drawer fell out of its track and became impossible to open less than one month after construction. poor quality. looks pretty though.

Sturdy 2 drawer file at a nice price
Solid 2 drawer file, good instructions, can't be in a hurry, double check using correct screws since similar lengths are not interchangeable. Drawers fit perfectly without adjustment, screws were centered in all slots and joints were glued as well.

Worst Piece of Furniture I Ever Bought
The cabinet was not difficult to assemble and I have purchased Sauder products many times. This cabinet, however, is misaligned and the drawer slides do not even reach the cabinet slides so they constantly fall out. If this is today's quality from Sauder it will be my last purchase from them.

Only one problem was drawer sides. Grooves on one drawer side wete hi too tight to slide front brackets in easily.

Lovely finished product
The finished product is very nice, it's well made and very sturdy. I would caution any novice builders that the skill level is quite difficult, this was the hardest one I've ever built.

Looks high quality
I have purchased many Sauder Furniture pieces over the years. This does not measure up to the long established quality. After assembly, the bearings on one drawer slide fell apart when I first slid in the drawer. Now the slide on the other side is also broken.

I would give 4-1/2 stars only because some of the construction could be better Examples: all screws should be countersunk to prevent any catching the edge of screws. The drawer sides were not flush on both sides, top to bottom-front to back. Some were some not. When I build the executive desk that is coming, I will use glue and possibly more angle brackets for sturdiness. Overall. We love it

I wish it were actual wood veneer
I bought a large 60" TV credenza from Leick Home just before I bought your file cabinet. The credenza has real wood veneer and it also was much easier to assemble. The file cabinet is OK but it had a lot of parts and was somewhat difficult to assemble and I am a 70 year old electrical and mechanical engineer with extensive experience doing mechanical and electrical assembly and repair and very skilled with tools. I could see how regular people would really struggle with this product.
