I have been a faithful user of this product for years. The smell of the new formulation is unbearable and I cannot get used to it. I have stopped using the cream and yet I cannot find anything comparable...please bring back the old formula.
It's a good product. However, there is no way you can get away with stretch marks especially if it runs down in your family. With that being said I still love how it act as a moisturizer and softens my skin after applying the lotion.
I used the old formula through the majority of my pregnancy with my son. I used it liberally EVERYDAY before bed and after showers. I could honestly feel the difference in my skin. About a week and a half before my due date I ran out of my last bottle and was forced into using the new formula. It was greasy, stained one of my tops, seriously bothered my sensitive nose and then BAM stretch marks. Mind you we are talking about a half pound difference in my belly by the time my son was born. The new formula just did not have the same effect that the old did in terms of elasticity and absorption. The old formula was my saving grace and it was all for naught. Call me crazy but I will not recommend this to anyone.
I got a bottle of this because I ran out and noticed it's a new bottle with green on it. I was looking forward to having that cocoa butter smell and was very disappointed, it stinks!! The new formula stinks and is not as thick as the old formula. It's thin and doesn't even feel like I've used any lotion at all within an hour or so. Someone made a poor decision to change the formula. PLEASE bring back the old formula!! This new formula is TERRIBLE!!
I received a sample of the lotion and have been using it for the past 2 weeks. It moisturizes well and keeps the skin feeling soft. However, not sure if it is too early to tell but it hasn't reduced the appearance of my existing stretch marks. Maybe I have to continue using the product for it to have that effect on me.
I have really enjoyed incorporating this lotion into my nightly routine. I use it on my stomach, bust, thighs, and bottom and have found that the lotion absorbs well, feels soft and smooth on my skin, and I find the scent soothing too. I have not had any stretch marks appear on my stomach, so I have no complaints and will continue to purchase and use this lotion. It's nice that this lotion is easy to find at many local stores and I do not have to worry about ordering it online, unless I want to.
I received this product as a free sample. I am an avid user of Palmer's lotion and never had any issues. This was my first time trying their massage lotion for stretch marks. For some reason when using this product on my baby bump it dried up fairly quickly and left white residue, which is why I'm giving it two stars. Maybe this is something they can change. Unfortunately, I cannot comment about the reduction in appearance of stretch marks because I only had the product for two weeks.
