  • A: Dear Kylee, thank you for your question. Palmer's can't suggest using ours or any body oil to tan unless it contains an SPF. Our Coconut Oil Body Oil is great after sun exposure, to moisturize your skin, encourage tanning, and prevent peeling. When you're in the sun, exposed to UVA and UVB rays, you need to protect yourself with a good sunscreen.

While some consumers choose to add essential oils to our products, once they do, the product is no longer being used as formulated, tested, or safety assessed by Palmer's. Adding essential oils may alter the product's performance, stability and could increase the risk of skin irritation or sensitivity. If you choose to add essential oils, we recommend using only a small amount, following the essential oil manufacturer's dilution guidelines, and performing a patch test on a small area of skin before broader use. Avoid contact with eyes and discontinue use if irritation occurs.

    i smell a smell

    this is so moisturizing but it smells like stale popcorn. not sure why because the lotion version smells nice but this is a miss. sad to say i will be returning the bottle i purchased.

    Cheap ingredients

    I picked this up because I really like their coconut hand cream formula. The hand cream has actual coconut oil as one of the first ingredients. This stuff has soybean oil listed at the top. It's on me for not reading the ingredients first, but I will definitely not be picking it up again. I looked at a. Couple of the other skin oils and they are similar regardless of what the label says.

    My personal favorite body oil!

    This is my personal favorite body oil that I’ve found because it is the perfect in-between: not too thick, not too thin. It has a nice slip to it, and it’s thin enough to easily spread onto the skin, but it also feels very occlusive and hydrating and gives a beautiful glow. I also really like the smell. It’s a bit of a sweet waxy coconut-type scent, and it pairs really nicely with most fragrances. For the price I don’t think you can really beat this body oil.
