It is thick enough to not have the paint saturate the paper and it is strong. The colors are really pretty and bright. The colors didn't fade in the sunlight when we were waiting for the paint to dry. My kids love this paper and they think it is fun to use.

I didn't realize that it's double sided, which was a cool surprise. It's about the same weight of regular paper. I've already started making things with it!
